Can you believe that we are halfway through 2020? I sure can’t! The first half of the year is not what I would have expected or hoped for, but I am believing for a healthy and peaceful second half of 2020. As we enter the second half of the year, with it comes the hoer weather, so be sure you are hydrang appropriately by drink - ing several glasses of water a day. This will keep you from geng dehydrated. And if you don’t necessarily love drinking “plain ol’ water”, maybe add some fruit to it. A nice slice of lemon will give it a lile zip! Did you know you can also get your water through eang? Many fruits and vegetables – such as cucumbers, celery, tomatoes, radishes, bell peppers, watermelon, strawberries and grapefruit – give us 20 to 30 percent of our needed water. So that’s great news! In closing, my prayer for us all is that as we celebrate our Independence Day – the 4th of July – we see the posive in our great naon and hope for tomorrow. In the meanme, “The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face to- ward you and give you peace.”’ – Numbers 6:24-26 Selina Bradley Execuve Director Message from your Execuve Director Tara Downs Receponist/First Impressions Selina Bradley Execuve Director Briney Hurst Life Enrichment Coordinator Amanda Dowdy Resident Services Director Paula Layman Hospitality Director

Hello to our resi-dents, family mem-bers and friends of Grace Senior Liv-ing. Can you believe that we are halfway through 2020? I sure can’t! The first half of the year is

not what I would have expected or hoped for, but I am believing for a healthy and peaceful second half of 2020.

As we enter the second half of the year, with it comes the hotter weather, so be sure you are hydrating appropriately by drink-ing several glasses of water a day. This will keep you from getting dehydrated. And if you don’t necessarily love drinking “plain ol’ water”, maybe add some fruit to it. A nice slice of lemon will give it a little zip! Did you

know you can also get your water through eating? Many fruits and vegetables – such as cucumbers, celery, tomatoes, radishes, bell peppers, watermelon, strawberries and grapefruit – give us 20 to 30 percent of our needed water. So that’s great news!

In closing, my prayer for us all is that as we celebrate our Independence Day – the 4th of July – we see the positive in our great nation and hope for tomorrow. In the meantime,

“The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face to-ward you and give you peace.”’ – Numbers 6:24-26

The Spirit of America Devotion With Chaplain Larry

Headed in the Right Direction! For the time will come when they will not en-dure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching

ears, they will heap up for themselves teach-ers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables” - 2 Timothy 4:3-4

There are some people who say, “Well, I come to church to feel good. I don’t want some minister up there ranting, raving, and pointing his finger at me, telling me I’ve got to repent and get right with God and all that business.” Someone told an evangelist that he need-ed to tone it down a little bit as he was rubbing the fur on the cat the wrong way. He replied, “Well the cat is headed in the wrong direction. If the cat would only turn around, I would be rubbing it the right way.”

Does the truth of God rub you the wrong way? Then it’s time to turn around. When you turn around 180 degrees and go in the opposite direction, then that’s a picture of repentance. If what God says is upsetting to you, it’s up to you to be the one to turn around.

Our fathers of old built this landOn the leading of God’s Holy Hand. Each great statesman lived his own life,Proudly putting his God first in that life.

This country, so beautiful, full of pride ~Shows it in the colors of her flag as it flies. We see the lovely blue, that for us, does show,The great expense of God’s heaven above. Both flag and sky carry the shining stars; Each star showing the beauty of God’s love. The red, so bright, in the stripes gives ~The color of the blood first given by Jesus, and then lost in the many wars of man;So each American could have so many free-doms.The white shows first the purity of our God’s love; That we see in each heart that looks to Him above. In all of America, the greatest earthly spirit is seen,In the emblem of the strong and soaring eagle. He shows that each heart that loves God lives free.We are free to learn from all our history; When we learn of our many great statesmen,Who were men of true Christian conviction. They knew their God-given duty ~Was to live by their Christian values.Does each one elected, today, know that he or sheWas elected to carry those convictions for all America?
