An Afternoon of Organ Music Saturday, February 11, 2017, 4:00 p.m.
Dr. Elizabeth Melcher Davis, Associate to the Rector for Music Ministries at Grace & Holy Trinity, and Cheryl Van Ornam, Director of Music at Redeemer Lutheran Church, will perform a fun and entertaining program of organ duets, including John Philip Sousa’s “Stars and Stripes Forever” and Henry Mancini’s “Pink Panther” for pedal duet, organ solos, and works for organ and brass ensemble, including the famous “Toccata” by Charles-Marie Widor, featuring the James River Brass.
An Afternoon of Tenor-Baritone Duets and Arias from OperaSaturday, October 29, 2016, 4:00 p.m.
Join Ben Kwak, popular tenor from GHTC’s In Love with Music Concerts, along with GHTC congregants and musicians Chase Peak, baritone, and George Pugh, pianist, for an afternoon of thrillingly beautiful and varied duets and arias from opera. Some of the selected works are familiar (such as “Au fond du temple saint” from Les pêcheurs de perles) and some are seldom heard though highly praised by MET artists (such as “Ah, figlio, invano” from I Vespri Siciliani). The program will include works from: • Verdi’s Don Carlo, I Vespri Siciliani, and La Forza del Distino • Puccini La Boheme and Manon Lescaut• Bizet’s Carmen, Donizetti’s L’Elisir D’Amore, Korngold’s Die Tote Stadt, and Cilea’s L’Arlesiana.Don’t miss this exciting concert of glorious music!
A Journey through Song Exploring Love and LossSaturday, April 29, 2017, 4:00 p.m.
Join four of Capitol Opera Richmond’s Leading Ladies for a captivating journey exploring love and loss in operas from various countries and cultures. Vocalists include Sarah Kate Walston, Fran Coleman, Jenna Anderson, and Gabrielle Maes. Daniel Stipe, pianist, will provide accompaniment. Additional accompaniment will be provided by harp, violin, and flute. The concert will include gorgeous duets from Madama Butterfly and Lakme, as well as moving arias from such works as Faust, Rusalka, Rigoletto, Rinaldo, La Boheme, Turandot, Cosi fan tutte, and Samson and Delilah. This free concert serves as an introduction to Capitol Opera Richmond and will be followed by a greet-the-artists reception with information and materials about COR available.

ConcertsGreater Richmond Children’s Choir 20th Anniversary Spring ConcertSaturday, June 3, 2017, 4:00 p.m.
Come hear the melodious voices in all five ensembles of the Greater Richmond Children’s Choir, ages 8-18 representing over 35 schools from the Richmond area and grateful to be able to rehearse regularly at Grace & Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. GRCC is dedicated to bringing together boys and girls from diverse backgrounds to experience the joy of singing and to gain a life-long love for good music through age-appropriate vocal training. The GRCC strives to nurture the unique gift each child brings, to encourage all to reach for excellence, and ultimately, to create responsible and compassionate citizens of the world.
Concert Choir of the Greater Richmond Children’s ChoirTuesday, November 22, 2016, 7:00 p.m.
For the eighth season, the lovely young voices of the GRCC intermediate level Concert Choir, directed by Hope Armstrong Erb and Crystal Jonkman, will sing anthems and lead hymns and service music at the church’s annual Thanksgiving worship service.

The Grace & Holy Trinity Adult Choir will present Schubert’s glorious “Mass No. 3 in B-flat Major” which will be accompanied by a chamber ensemble. The Mass will be sung within the context of the Holy Eucharist liturgy.
Advent Festival of Lessons and CarolsSunday, December 11, 2016, 11:00 a.m.
The worship service, sung by the Grace & Holy Trinity Adult Choir, will include traditional carols, anthems, and hymns for the Advent season.
Pro Arte and Cavalieri Choirs from the Greater Richmond Children’s ChoirSunday, February 26, 2017, 11:00 a.m.
The GRCC internationally award-winning Cantare Choir, directed by Hope Armstrong Erb and Pete Curry, will lead hymns and service music for the last Sunday after the Epiphany. GRCC has been hailed as one of Richmond’s “most acclaimed musical exports” and is recognized as one of the best choirs in the USA having been selected to perform at the national and regional conventions of the American Choral Directors Association. This season they have been honored by the American Guild of Organists to perform as part of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Convention on June 25th at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart.
