Make sure your map meets all of these requirements. Use this handy checklist to help you create a spectacular map! Requirements Student check and comments Title Do you have a title for your map? Compass Rose Do you have all directions included? Key Have you included a space for a map key? Symbols Did you remember to include all your symbols in your key? 4 landforms, a city and a compass rose? Physical Features You must include at least 6 physical landforms such as lakes, mountains, rivers, valleys, forest, desert etc. on your map Show these with signs or symbols. Did you include these symbols in your key? Political Features Did you include a capital city? Did you name it? Why Live There? Have you written a sentence explaining why people would choose to live near one of your landforms?
