What is Green Power Now?

Green Power Now is a sustainable leadership program for the high school students.

We aims to

educate the future generation about the environment issues empower them to become environmental leaders of their communitybring them communications of different cultures

Why do we need

Green Power Now?

From World Climate Conference in

Copenhagen we can see

Through our project, we hope to spread low-carbon knowledge and promoteunderstanding among different cultures to our young generation .

the incomprehension among countries are preventing us from mitigating environmentalproblems.

So that we can get united to fight

environmentalproblems.

What are GPN

trainees expected to be ?

To be students' partner or facilitator

rather than teacher

Compare the environment situation in your country and China to expand students' horizonsEncouraging high school students to create and think independently.

Raising the social responsibility by

giving high schoolstudents diversified

classes on environmental topics

Motivate the students to work on their own environment projects by team work, brainstorming, sharing articles, making posters, playing games. etc

Communicate with the students more often after classes

rather than just giving traditional lectures.

Timeline

May: Teaching, Green Plant Forum, Working as an volunteer for local NGOs

There are two groups in next term:1st of March ~13th April13th April ~ MayThis is a general frame, just for reference.The exchange will last for 6~8 weeks.

Fee

Trainees will probably be supposed to pay their own accommodation (1500~2000 CNY/month) and meals (about 900 to 1500 CNY/month)However, high schools(TN) in our project will pay you allowance(the amount varies from different schools and depends on trainees‘ performance)
