Many of the world’s leading designers, builders and suppliers of a wide range ofequipment to work boats have already signed up for the second GULF OFFSHORE AND
WORK BOAT 2011.
“To be held in Bahrain at the Bahrain Exhibition and Convention Centre from April 11 to 13,Gulf Offshore and Work Boat is a classic case of right time, right place and right product,”said organiser Kishore Navani of Baird Events.
“While Bahrain is an important work and patrol boat centre in its own right, the fact that it is
located right alongside Saudi Arabia’s most important shipping, offshore and work boat centresis a huge added benefit,” Mr Navani explained.
Backed by the resources of Baird’s Work Boat World magazine, which completely dominatesthe international work boat market, there is no doubt Gulf Offshore and Work Boat willsimilarly dominate the market in the all important Gulf region.
This region’s owners and operators of all kinds of work boats from ferries to tugs, offshoreservice vessels to patrol boats and construction vessels to fishing boats, will all be very wellaware of the attractions of Gulf Offshore and Work Boat.
Many industry associations and leading international marine publishers have agreed toparticipate in Gulf Offshore and Work Boat as supporters.
Baird Events, has announced that Gulf Offshore and Work Boat will be enhanced by two verysignificant conferences.
“We are working with two very important local Gulf organisations to produce a majorconference on the state of the Offshore Service Vessel Market,” said Chairman Neil Baird. “Itwill be a practical, realistic event that will examine both the current state of the market and itslikely future directions.
“The conference will feature presentations from owners, operators and charterers of OSVs aswell as from suppliers of designers, builders, equipment manufacturers and financiers. Onesession will look at alternative uses for such vessels in offshore fish farming, wind farming, coastal construction and other fields,” Mr Baird explained.
A conference on Passenger Vessels – Fast and Slow – Large and Small – will also be held.“Given the almost unbearable road traffic congestion and the enormous amount of coastalhousing development, it is obvious that the whole Arabian Gulf area will soon require a biginflux of passenger vessels of a wide range of types,” Mr Baird suggested.
Both conferences will be of one day’s duration so each will cover a third of the three day event. Each will include about 15 separate presentations from industry leaders. There will be plenty oftime for questions and discussion. All delegates will be invited to the Cocktail Reception. Priceswill be significantly lower than for comparable events in Europe.
