Total Reqistrations and Expenditures Expenditures reported by registered lobbyists through December 31, 2000 are $491,739.47. These expenditures are lower than expenditures for the same period in 1999. The number of registered lobbyists is also lower than in 1999. This year lobbyists filed 567 Affidavits of Exemption From Filing Lobbyist Employment and Expenditures Reports. Any lobbyist who spent $100 or less in each reporting period on behalf of an employer qualified for the reporting exemption. A Year-End Report for Lobbyists Filing an Affidavit of Exemption was filed for these employers on January 10, 2001 listing all expenditures made during the calendar year. Kansas law provides for the registration of lobbyists and the periodic reporting of lobbying expenditures (K.S.A. 46-215 et seq.) This memorandum reflects registrations and reported expenditures through December 31, 2000.

Total Reqistrations and Expenditures Expenditures reported by registered lobbyists through December 31, 2000 are $491,739.47. These expenditures are lower than expenditures for the same period in 1999. The number of registered lobbyists is also lower than in 1999.

This year lobbyists filed 567 Affidavits of Exemption From Filing Lobbyist Employment and Expenditures Reports. Any lobbyist who spent $100 or less in each reporting period on behalf of an employer qualified for the reporting exemption. A Year-End Report for Lobbyists Filing an Affidavit of Exemption was filed for these employers on January 10, 2001 listing all expenditures made during the calendar year.
