More than any other factor, leadership affects the success or failure of any enterprise. In the public sector expectations are changing: citizens want more participation in public policy formulation, more accountability for results, and more integrative thinking. Governments are expected to think and act strategically, across large systems and over the long term. In order to raise the bar and meet stakeholders’ expectations, public leaders must lead differently. In this course, you will learn how to increase your personal effectiveness as a leader, build your organization’s leadership capacity, enhance strategic and system thinking and enable action across the APS.
