AGRICULTUREWHEREAS it is provided by section 36 (1) of the Constitution that wherever the President is absent

from Botswana or consideres it desirable so to do by reason of illness or any other cause he may, by directions in writing, authorize the Vice-President or in the absence of the Vice-President, a Minister, to discharge such of the functions of the office of President as he may specify and the person so authorised may discharge those functions until the President’s return to Botswana or the revocation of such authorization, as the case may be;

AND WHEREAS the Vice-President is out of the country on official duties;AND WHEREAS I intend to be absent from Botswana from 21st August, 1986, and I consider it

desirable to issue directions as aforesaid;NOW THEREFORE in exercise of the powers vested in me as aforesaid I authorize you, DANIEL

KEATAMETSE KWELAGOBE in your capacity as Minister of Agriculture to discharge with effect from 21st August, 1986, all the functions of the office of President, except —

(а) the power to dissolve Parliament in accordance with the provisions of section 91 of the Constitution;

(б) the power to appoint to the office of Minister or Assistant Minister in accordance with the provisions of section 42 of the Constitution:

CENTRAL DISTRICT COUNCILinvites tendersfor the supply of petrol and diesel fuel for vehicles and borehole engines through the entire Central District.

The successful tenderer will be awarded a contract to supply fuels for period of five years from the date of signing of contract.

Fuels must be delivered on demand to Fuel Depots located at Bobonong, Tutume, Letlhakane, Mahalapye and at Central District Headquarters, Serowe, or any other place within the Central District where fuel depots are established, now and in the future.

Tenderers are required to maintain the present fuel storages and despensing equipments, and install additional fuel storage tanks where neccessary to increase fuel capacity storage.
