1) Admission is strictly on merit basis. Rules & regulations, seat reservation policy of
affiliated University and government are maintained. All information is properly
communicated to stake holders in college website, and in the notice board of the college.
2) College gives prospectus at the time of admission to the students, where students know
the information about fees structure, student support, etc. Department of Commerce issues
Academic calendar.
3) ICT is introduced by the college in teaching and learning
. 4) To teach the students in a more illustrative and understandable way, teachers are using
laptops, LCD projector in the class room. Certain departments are using different academic
software’s for advanced learning of their students.
5) The Principal, encouraged the teacher to participate in Refresher Courses, seminar etc
for faculty improvement.
6) All departments hold two exams. (Midterm & Test), Result published with in 15/20
days. Some department hold class test, the Evaluative papers are shown to students as per
demands, and discuss the shortcoming of their answers scripts.

2.12 How does IQAC Contribute/Monitor/Evaluate the Teaching & Learning
processes :
To make learning more students centric and independent, the IQAC proposed to
conduct new certificate and add on courses. Internet connection is made available to the
students.
Peer group discussions and interaction with the students helped the IQAC to provide a
variety of learning experiences that the students prefer at the level of their
comprehension. Students’ participation in varied association activities have encouraged
them to gain the expected output through experiential learning. �

Field Visits, Industrial Visits, exhibition helped students to gain hands-on experience
of organising ability. Participatory approach adopted in Inter-collegiate fests both within
and outside the college have contributed to the holistic personality development. Career
driven exposure has improved their employability and functional ability reflecting in the
empowerment of women students. Interaction with parents and Alumnae have added
value to the Teaching and Learning process through their constructive feedback. �
Monitors:
(1) The class tests, seminar, assignments, internal assessment exams
serve as an indication of teaching learning/outcome. �
(2) Students’ qualitative participation in co-curricular and extra-curricular
activities is also an index of effective teaching learning responses.
Evaluation of the teaching and learning process is reflected in the academic
participation co curricular and extracurricular activities, project reports, students council
programmes, workshops, seminars, an inter-departmental programmes. Student’s
feedback at the end of academic year help in modifying the teaching techniques.
Teaching and Learning is also assessed through the feedback obtained from the
resource persons. �
Students performance in the career guidance programmes and placement drives
also testifies the effectiveness of teaching and learning. �
ICT initiatives, e-resources and other necessary infrastructure, complement the
Teaching and learning process, reflecting in the easy access to resources. The teaching
and learning strategies bridge the gender gap prevalent in the society through the

3. Research, Consultancy and Extension
3.1 Initiatives of the IQAC in Sensitizing/Promoting Research Climate in the institution
The IQAC through the R & D Cell sensitized the students to participate in inter-class
projects and paper presentation competitions organized by other
institutions/organizations. It also encouraged the staff members to present the papers in
National and International seminars and conferences. Research papers are also published
in National /International journals/edited books/Conference proceeding.
Staff members leverage their expertise through consultancy, guest lectures, as resource
persons in seminars and conferences.
The Red Cross Unit, the Rangers, Environment club, Women’s Cell, Entrepreneurial
Development Cell, NSS and Consumer forum have organized extension activities in
varied spheres. They include cleanliness campaigns, AIDS awareness, Gender equality
programme, entrepreneurship development programme for the students and their parents,
environment conservation programme, financial inclusion and other society oriented
extension activities.

6.1 State the Vision and Mission of the institution
Govt.First Grade College Kushalnagar was established in 1980. The even of 1980
has already crossed 36 years and stands tall like an un questimeble readily. The college
now has a each post, a glorious present and a brought future. College is merchants a head
with its sole objective of providing quality education to all irrespective of caste, creed
and religion economic stands or physical health. To fulfil the objective developmental
programmes have been initiated keeping in tune with the changing requirements of

Students of NSS, Rangers and Environment Club participated in Campus cleaning
activities
Saplings were planted during the annual NSS camp at Kudumangalore camp site.
Swatcch Bharath Abhiyan, , projects by members of the environment club with
the theme “best out of waste and eco friendly Programmes on Hygiene, water
pollution, soil pollution, noise pollution vermin - culture, prevention of pollution
and its effects, wealth from waste, campus cleaning, maintenance of garden and
restricted use of plastics. �
The institution always emphasises on the necessity of keeping the campus totally
pollution free and clean. In order to achieve this the students are inspired to take
part in afforest ration programmes. �
