Final Remarks

• Deepwater becoming increasingly important in world reserves replacement.

• The development paradigm has definitely shifted from shallow to deep water.

• We are protagonists in exploration and production in this environment, and the pre-salt discovery reinforced this vocation.

• Now it's time to introduce technology to optimize designs and expand returns for companies and the society.

• The pre-salt is an excellent inducer for this development.

Technologies developed with R&D clause

Winner of the first ANP Technological Innovation Award 2013, designed to honour projects that received funds

from R&D clause and contributed to the increase of local content in goods and services.

Subsea Oil Water Separation System (SSAO) – Marlim Pilot Project

• The first deepwater water-oil separation system.

• About $ 90 million from R&D clause and an equipment with 67% local content.

• The operation of the system consists of separating in deepwater, water produced by an oil well and reinject it into the reservoir, increasing its pressure and thus the oil production and recovery factor.

• World's first subsea gas compression facility – Åsgard field.

• 1,800-tonne steel frame to be installed on the seabed to form the base of the world's first subsea gas compression facility.

• It is the largest template manufactured by Aker Solutions, measuring 74 metres in length, 45 metres in width and 26 metres in height.
