Young Leaders’ Conference

Early next Sunday morning our school captains Tevita and Kadon, and I will travel to Sydney to attend the Young Leaders’ Conference. Other school leaders from the Griffith Community of Schools will travel with them. They have the opportunity to listen to inspiring speakers such as Tim Diamond, Cate Campbell and Holly Ferling and I am sure the boys will enjoy the experience.

Tom Curtain

What a terrific experience our students had last Tuesday. For weeks, we have been rehearsing Tom Curtain's 'Speak Up' song and on Tuesday we had the opportunity to sing it with him. Tom has visited 24 schools on his national tour. Out of all those schools, Tom said the kids from the Carrathool Shire, were by far the best singers he has heard. The students were delighted to meet Tom’s dogs Snow, Lucy and Super and watch how he trains them. We would like to thank Tom and his team for taking time to visit our school.
