Google Docs & Spreadsheets could be applied innovatively in many different organizations because it helps people connect to each other when not being at the same location.

Say there is a group project and the members are in different parts of the country, they can do a group project together on Google Docs, by having all members be logged in and typing their ideas on the same document. By refreshing the screen the members can see the latest update of who wrote what. Google merges the members’ input into one single document. Also with the document any member can edit and revise the contents at any time. This is a great technique to use for groups and companies.

In any college class: a couple students who were formed into a group for a class project had a difficult time trying to figure out when they can all meet and work on the project together because their schedules were so different. So they decided to use Google Docs to work together on the project. Each individual can add their thoughts, opinions, comments, etc on the Google doc and all the group members can see it and also apply their input as well. All members can edit the document and make revisions at any time period. This is a great way to do group projects without trying to find a way to meet face to face.

A major corporation such as Johnson & Johnson: a group project at this corporation however two group members are sent on a business trip in two separate countries. Google Docs is a great way to communicate to other group members who are geographically separated.

A non-profit organization such as the Red Cross: different locations of the Red Cross organization can form together and share their opinions on a Google Document, almost like using a discussion board. Members of the different locations can revise and share their thoughts on a specific event throughout the country.
