Here are a tips on how to prepare your home for the photo shoot.

General Areas• De-clutter as much as possible – store excess in garage

• Remove excess personal items e.g. photos

• Tidy/Hide all power leads/cables

• Tuck trash cans out of view in a closet or cupboard.

• De-clutter rooms which may be excessively furnished. They do

not photograph well.

• Remove piles of newspaper and magazines.

• Make all beds and tidy bedrooms. Clothes hung, or folded and

put away.

Lounge Room / Living Areas • Turn off TV and put remotes away

• Remove all toys, fans, game consoles

• Remove Exercise bikes/equipment if possible

• Arrange DVDs, games, books neatly in shelves

• Turn off ceiling fans

Kitchen Dining Areas • Clean and put away all dishes/cutlery

• Clean backsplash and range hoods especially if stainless steel

• Remove all detergents, dish clothes, dish rack, tea towels, plugs

• Ensure Range hood lights are working

• Remove all objects from fridge e.g. magnets, photos

• Remove bins and pet bowls

• Minimize counter top clutter e.g. salt and pepper, coffee,

cereal boxes

In today’s market essentially all home buyers use the internet to search for homes. First impressions are crucial and

these photographs of your home can play a major role in whether or not the buyer wants to go physically see it!

Great photos increase the number of potential buyers that come to see your home and the more people that come

for a showing equals a great chance the home will sell!

Bedrooms • De-clutter toys, books, games, tissue boxes

• Remove all personal items

• Ensure bedside lamps are working

• Clear away all clothes

• Make all beds and tidy bedrooms. Clothes hung, or folded and put

away.

Bathrooms/Ensuites • Remove all toiletries from sink area and bath area

• Remove all tooth brushes/tooth paste/razors/hair dryers

• Make sure glass and mirrors are clean

• Straighten towels

• Remove toilet cleaning utensils

• Ensure toilet roll is not empty

• Close toilet lid

Outside Areas • Mow the lawn and trim edges

• Rake/sweep up leaves, sticks, papers

• Remove all gardening equipment e.g. hoses, rakes, wheel barrows

• Tidy garden e.g. weeds

• Remove all cars/boats/bikes/caravans

• Remove all toys

60 Minutes before Photo Shoot a Open all blinds

a Turn on ALL lights

a Turn off ceiling fans

a Turn off TVs, shut down computers if visible

a Put down all toilet lids and make sure toilet paper isn’t hanging off the roll

a Contain pets in the garage or out of sight

a Move garbage and recycling bins out of sight

a Clear off counter tops in kitchen and bathroom areas

a Remove all vehicles from driveways and do not park directly in front of the house

Additional Info...• The photo-shoot will take between 20-45 minutes depending on the size of your home.

• The exterior, interior, and all major rooms will be photographed.

• We normally do not photograph the garage unless it has special features.

• If you have special features of your home that are not obvious please let me us about these so they can be

included
