Good Stuff – Trucks Bring ItIt doesn’t get any better than this…

Shania Joan Supanich was reunited with her mother Sandy Pedigo in September after being apart for two years, thanks to a program called “Homeward Bound”. She was taken by her father without proper custody rights. The photos above are from the celebration at Gordon Trucking in Auburn, on Tuesday, October 17, 2006.

Trooper Mark Covey of the Washington State Patrol hosted the celebration. He stated that this is the best way to show missing children and this is a good Samaritan act on the part of Gordon Trucking.

Sandy’s fiancée is to the right of her and that is our own Mike Southards (tan jacket) WTA’s Safety Director who was involved in the program as well. This program of placing missing children posters on the side of semi trailers was the idea of Trooper Padgett of the WSP. She enlisted Vic Payment from Budget Auto Wrecking who donated finances and Gordon Trucking, Inc. supplied the trucks.

Gordon Trucking employees donated $1,500 to Sandy and Shania and Gordon Trucking, Inc. matched it, bringing the total to $3000 for back to school clothes.Also, Gordon employee, Kim Takacs, assembled an impressive gift pack from the company. All things pink, just what girls love!

Gordon Trucking, Inc. drivers are honored to have the posters on the trucks. These posters are made by David Iman of Imagic out of California. 100 more trailers will display the posters that will go to nearly every state in the country. Budget Auto Wrecking donated an additional $2,500 more to the program. Thanks Vic and Mary!
