Emails were sent out recently inving all fami lies to sign up through Sign Up Genius on the website to pick their dates. Dance-a-thon is only one week away and we can't wait to CELEBRATE the amazing job each of you has done raising money this year for the Fund-a- Need Improvements. This year we will introduce 'DAT Tickets' that can be purchased in advance or at the door. This 'cket system' will be used to purchase concessions, play special 'prize' games, face painng, glow necklaces and entries for Raffle Prizes. Please see aached flyer and the Friday folder insert to pre-order your ckets as well as addional informaon for Dance-a-thon. We are sll in need of a few items and volunteers for the event. Picture re-take/make-up day is Tuesday, November 12th. STEM Kindergarten-5th graders did a Halloween in spired STEM challenge this month. During the first week the Kindergarteners were inspired by the song “5 Lile Pumpkins”. They were chal lenged to build a gate to hold 5 pumpkins using a variety of materials. 4th graders had to build a bridge out of “bones” (q-ps). The students enjoyed geng into the spooky STEM spirit! Scholar’s Bowl Congratulaons to our 2 eighth grade teams who have competed in 3 eighth grade Scholar’s Bowl compeons at the area Catholic high schools. They represented Good Shepherd well with the many challenging ques ons in math, science, language arts, fine arts, history and religion. The teams consisted of Abby Coker, Liam Delaney, Ellie Gast, Sophia Hance, Anna Leonard, Alex Moragues, Chloe Morgan, Kae Price, Jude Sojka, Nicole Surface, Alexis Vipond and Alex Wright. All Saints Day Our 4th graders presented a beauful depic on of the saints at Mass on Friday at the All Saints’ Day Mass! Fourth graders researched their favorite saint and aſter Mass they went around to classrooms and answered quesons regarding the saint they chose. MASS MOMS MASS MOMS MASS MOMS We are excited to announce two opportunies for moms (dads, grandparents) to fill that gap between drop off (7:55) and all-school Mass (8:30) on Wednesday mornings! One opportunity is a service group of teacher's help ers. Tasks may include reading one on one with our first and second grade students, helping with copies & cut outs, cleaning common areas or anything else Mrs. McGuff can think of for us to do! Another opportunity is a Gospel Reflecon group. This group will focus on growing faith by reading the day's Gospel together and engaging in open discus sion. We look forward to these opportunies to serve, build community and encourage faith for maon! Beginning Wednesday, November 6th we invite all who are interested to meet in the Narthex at 7:50AM.
