Block Party Kiddush Luncheon, 11:30 - 1pm, Front Parking Lot Please keep the following tips in mind to ensure a pleasant experience:

• Rabbi Feldman will recite Kiddush, after which individual Kiddushes can be recited at each table for those who did not hear. Please allow Kiddush to be recited before partaking of the food.

• Washing stations are available at either end of the parking lot. Additional sinks with washing cups are available in the restrooms off the lobby, as well as in Heritage Hall.

• Parents are asked to seat their children and get food for them, instead of having children at the buffet tables.

• Safety of children is parental responsibility. The gates opening to LaVista road will be open; please make sure your children stay safely inside the Beth Jacob parking lot.

• A roving choir will be stopping by each table during the meal to sing zemiros. Please join along with them in adding to the Shabbos spirit.

Welcome to Beth Jacob’s cornerstone event of the Worldwide Shabbos Project---our first Shabbat Block Party Kiddush Luncheon!

We thank all the shareholders in this project—donors, volunteers, and each and every one of you who came to be a part of this to express your love and honor of Shabbos. A special welcome to members of the broader Toco Hills Community and students from Meor at Emory.

Around the globe this week, Shabbos in its splendor and beauty is being shared in ways that have never been tried before. From Aberdeen to Zurich, Jews in the thousands are observing Shabbos together. This is not only a day of sharing Shabbos, it is a day of deepening our appreciation of Shabbos.

Our Shabbos Block Party has this goal: For the world to see, and for us to see, the deep commitment and love we have for Shabbos. Men, women, and children are coming together to do what we do in our homes every week of the year. This is a Shabbos of unity.

This Kiddush Luncheon is actually an open invitation to all for every Shabbos of the year to join us in celebrating this weekly island of holiness. G-d gave us this precious gift, and we are eager to share it with the world. Whether you are here every Shabbos or here for the first time, it is a privilege to share Shabbos with you, this week and every week.

Rabbi Ilan and Miriam Feldman
