is the ability to hit the ball solid

in golf. And the biggest barrier

to really enjoying this game is

the ability to where the ball

sitting on the ground and

getting this golf club to come

back to that exact spot.

Over the years, there has been

a misconception out there. We

miss, we look at the ball, we

swing, we try to hit the ball,

and then when we miss it, our

friends say, “Hey you looked

up. You took after the

ball. You lifted your head.”

Focus on keeping your head down better

and longer. But the problem is instinctively,

we’re trying to lift the ball up into the air.

When the ball sitting on the ground, it’s

supposed to get up in the air and catch the

ball on the way up.

Golf is more of an impacting

type game. It’s a smack-type

game.

Instead put your left-hand out,

take your right hand, and smack

against your left hand. That’s

the idea and the feeling to have

an impact.

Line drill is putting the two

balls on the ground and

creating an imaginary line.

We can now hit and take divot

on or pass in the line. Hitting

the ball gives you a divot and

you can do a bigger version of

the shot. The idea when put

into practice makes all the

difference in the world.
