    Best sellers indication for increased sales

    Best converting products, also known as the best sellers, are a major source of revenue for retailers and

    brands. Such products are typically presented first in their categories and sometimes in a category of

    their own (Best Sellers category). Nevertheless, most marketing channels do not get any information to

    help them monetize these products. Retailers product feeds do notindicate which items are best sellers

    and thus publishers cannot promote them accordingly

    Letting your marketing channels know about the best-selling products helps them to prioritize these

    products during the consumer search and achieve better conversation rates. Furthermore, agencies

    In GOOGLE SHOPPING ADS2013 ANNUAL REPORTresearch byMarin Software,(based on

    analysis of search marketers that spend more than $100,000 per monthon paid search) discusses

    targeting top performing products as one of the strategies to make the most of the Google PLA.

    Econsultancy blogcovers this research and notes that similar to paid search keywords,prioritizing

    top performing product targets allows retailers more control over their revenue outcomes. By

    increasing exposure for these products search marketers can bring in more revenue while investing

    less time in management and optimization. It also notes that products with low margins or those

    that perform poorly with standard text ads might also perform poorly with PLAs. By excluding these

    products or setting product filters to define which items can appear for PLAs, retailers can avoid

    bidding on these unprofitable products and wasting their campaign budgets.

    specific categories, specific price ranges, and brand names, optimizing the feed according to theirspecific needs and consumer profiles, and ultimately present more relevant content that increases

    revenues.

    As shoppers in different markets are incented to purchase in different ways, there may be local

    differences in language, shipping prices product information, promotions, and of course currency.

    As such, each international website requires its own feeds which reflect the preferences and

    requirements of the local consumers and marketing channels.

    One way to create an up-to-date local is feed is to scan each local website and extract all relevant

    information from it. This ensures that the feed is fully localized with the promotions, shipping info,

    etc.

    Some international sites include a single language with multiple currency options. In this case, new

    pricing can be provided using an external file which is integrated into a base feed (created by

    scanning the website in one of the currencies) to create international feeds.
