O God, who consecrated the bond of Marriage by so great a mystery
that in the wedding covenant you foreshadow the Sacrament of Christ
and his Church, grant, we pray, to these your servants,
that what they receive in faith they may live out in deeds. Amen.

Prelude Not For Tongues of Heaven’s Angels Michael Joncas
Entrance Hymn Love Has Brought Us Here Together
L ove has brought us here together: love of family, love of friends; Love, our vow till death should part us; love, God’s gift, that never ends.
From our birth, throughout our lifetime, Love’s insistence calls our name. Floods of waters cannot drown it or put out its dancing flame. Love is gentle, love is patient, soft in words and kind in deeds. Love is strong and never pompous; Love put first the other’s needs. Not quick tempered or resentful, prone to take offences of brood, Love excels in grace and mercy, never jealous, never rude. Now we gather here to listen, now we come to share our faith. Now God’s own beloved people, sing to God our hymn of praise. Here at table with bread of heaven, here we raise the cup of life, Here we proclaim that Christ is with us, God of love and God of life!

Isaiah prophesied, “Seek the Lord where he may be found, call on him while he is near… for my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are my ways your ways my ways, says the Lord.”
Saint Paul writes, “Life is Christ, and death is gain… I long to depart this life and be with Christ, for that is far better. Conduct yourselves in a way worth of the gospel of Christ.

Profession of Faith
Universal Prayer Response: “Hear us, O Lord.”
I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven, (all bow) and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.
I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins
and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.
