    MIS Gold Abutment

    The MIS gold abutment can be used for the fabrication of custom made abutments or for the fabrication of direct screw retained restorations.

    The alloy base is made of 60% gold, 19% platinum, 20% palladium and 1% Iridium. The combination of an alloy base with a burnout plastic sleeve blends the benefits of an accurate implant-abutment contact, with the versatility required from a custom made component.

    Direct screw retained P.F.M restorations

    The burnout sleeve allows the use of direct wax-up techniques. A metal framework made from the casting of this wax-up can be used for conventional porcelain baking procedures.

    Cemented restorations

    The burnout sleeve can also enable wax-up of custom abutments, that can be used to retain cemented restorations.

    Laboratory guide

    Select the appropriate gold abutment which meets fixture configuration.Note: it is recommended to ensure compatibility of the elements by using MIS catalogs.

    Wax up onto the burnout sleeve to fabricate the metal framework that is required.Please note:1. Porcelain cannot be fired directly to the gold base because the alloy is not a ceramic compatible alloy.

    2. Do not cover the exposed 1mm gold collar with porcelain.

    SterilizationThe device must be sterilized before use by autoclave, at a temperature of 134C (273F) at a pressure of ~315 Kpa during 6 minutes. Do not exceed 134C during sterilization.

    Recommended tightening moment for gold screw (MD-G0220): 20 Ncm
