• On the Going Global homepage, choose Country Guides from the top navigation menu, or the Country Career Guides link directly below.

• That will take you to Country Guides index page.

• Clicking on a country name opens the guide for that country.

• You can also immediately begin searching the guides by entering keywords in the search box and selecting a country from the dropdown menu at the bottom of the page.

• When you click on a country name or flag logo, for example China, you’re taken to that country’s main page.

• The links from the Navigate by Topic side menu are standardized for each country, so you easily compare guides.

• The Job Search Resources section on a country guide’s main page offers several links for job or internship research for that country.

• The Job Search Overview highlights the skills needed along with the opportunities and challenges in the job market of that country.

• The Online Job Sites link contains a list of local resources for leads to job openings and internship opportunities.

• Government Employment Resources offers links to information for opportunities to work in the government sector.

• The Internship and Job Fairs page is a good starting point for those interested in face-to-face interaction with potential employers.

• The Staffing Agencies and Temporary Help Firms page can be a valuable resource for those looking for working holiday and short term employment opportunities for additional industry experience.

• The Industry and Employment Trends provides an overall summary of the country’s industrial growth and current challenges.

• Specific industries are discussed at length, including an analysis of growth and trends for each one.

• Also included in each industry specific section is a summary of certification and education requirements and a listing of various trade associations that can be used to establish new professional connections.

• The Top Companies listing provides a short profile of each company discussing their primary activities, financial status, and contact information.

The Financial Considerations section from the Navigate By Topic menuprovides details about the expenses and household budget items that come with living abroad.

»The Work Permits and Visas section section from the Navigate By Topicmenu describes the various types of visas offered for students, professionals, internship work, and family members.

»A description of the documents and fees for each visa type is provided, along with links to downloadable forms.
