Self Introduction MiriamLong story short. I came to God after my father and aunt passed away. Not right away, but after many days of resenting God, insomnia being my best friend and depression had me so miserable I resorted to using substances to cope. One day, the Lord pricked my heart reminding me of memories that had become sacred. He simply said “try me”. After a year of continuing to avoid God and His attempts to save me I volunteered at a church unknowingly, it didn’t look like a Church. I was invited to service everyday and because they treated me so kind it was hard to continue to say no. I ended up being saved. The pastors of the Church left and my season there was over. I searched for home, but couldn’t find it. In the meantime I worked for a local homeless shelter and I found some of the things were just appalling. It came to me one day. “Why not create ‘home’ for everyone not just yourself”. So here I am.

Group Introduction

• This is something for everyone, you don’t have to be spiritual to participate.

• Volunteer opportunities, people helping people.• Non-profits helping non-profits.• Community builders.• Spiritual Influence, growing in our own intimate relationship with God.

Bible Study, Praise & Worship

Will consist of:• Main theme or teaching, from Bible teacher(s).• Everyone asks one question, any question & research throughout the week.

• World news and how it relates to the Bible.• Skype or video conference Bible study for convenience.• Praise & Worship, (members needed) instrumentals, if needed.

Volunteer opportunities “Cleanup Modesto”

• Volunteers go out to areas of Modesto and clean up graffiti.

• Youth and adult volunteers.• Later on provide incentives to taggers by hosting tagger tournaments. Invite artist from major cities as special guest.

Fundraising

Carwashes, bake sales, yard sales and finding new ways to fundraise. Online using Social media. Getting creative!!

“Back to the Amphitheater”Hosting events at the Graceda amphitheater.

Serving food and playing live Contemporary Christian

music.

Non-profit status and getting recognition

• Our goal right now is to obtain Committed board members and gain our 50l(c)3 non profit status.

• Getting involved in the community in ways that’s sending a positive message to local businesses and inspiring them to get involved!

• Gaining the attention of local media, newspapers, social networking sites, news and other sources.

• Making sure the community has clear understanding of our purpose.

A Day Center in Modesto?

• Providing services such as: all kinds of youth & adult services, food, shelter, training, bible study, counseling, praise & worship, backpack/jacket/blanket giveaway, independent living skills, Clothes closet, washer & dryer, workshops, college assistance, scholarships and anything else I can think of.

The ultimate goal over A 20 year period.
