GOD’S ETERNAL PURPOSE

Chapter 1

Ephesians chapter 1 and verse 9 begins, “Having made known unto us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure, which He hath purposed in Himself; that in the dispensation of the fullness of times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in Heaven, and which are on earth; even in Him: in whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of Him who worketh all things after the counsel of His own will.”

I’ve said for years that the book of Ephesians is my most favorite book in the Bible, because the book of Ephesians actually gives you the full picture of the plan of God. Paul says here, “That He has made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure, which He hath purposed in Himself.” God has purposed something in the very beginning, in what we call “the eternal purpose from the beginning of His creation.”

God had a purpose, but He purposed this within Himself. It has nothing to do with me. What I do in this human consciousness does not affect the will of God in any way, because this will has nothing to do with our mistaken identity” that we’ve been identified with so for many years.

God made a purpose, that in the dispensation of the fullness of times, He might gather together in one, all things in Christ. Now I waited for years to see the manifestation of this. In fact, wouldn’t it be wonderful if right today we could see this scripture fulfilled, that He had gathered together in one all things in Christ? Yet that is exactly what has already happened. I believe that the cross is a focal point where Jesus went into death, and totally annihilated

the world, sin, the flesh and the devil. All the negative things that we relate to were terminated at the cross.

When Christ was resurrected from among the dead, He brought into resurrection all things. And that is when this scripture actually was fulfilled. We have always been one in reality, but the cross was a focal point to help us realize that we are not separate from one another; we are all of one Body. The scripture reveals that through the cross both Jew and Gentile (The saved and lost) were united in one body.

So it’s not something in the future; it’s something that has all ready happened. The fullness of times came together at the cross. The most important event that has ever happened in history, is the focus that we put on the cross, knowing that that was the end of the old creation, and the beginning of the new.

“In the fullness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ.” Now, that has already been done, but we have not really seen the reality of that worked out yet in all of creation; but nevertheless it has been done.

“That in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in Heaven, and which are on earth.” So the things that are in Heaven right now, and the things that are in earth have been gathered into one. If we are living out of a spiritual identity, and we know that we are a new creation on this earth, we are now living in that Heavenly realm. So all of us, who are living in this Heavenly realm, recognize the oneness amongst ourselves.

The people on earth, who are living out of an earthy human consciousness, they too have already been gathered into one. One of our greatest privileges is to reveal to all of creation that

they are already made one in Christ, that at the cross they were reconciled and made one with Christ.

Ephesians 1:11 “In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of Him who works all things after the counsel of His own will.” If we could believe some simple scriptures like this, what would we have to be concerned about? If God gives us some simple revelation of verses like this, we will be the most joyous, the most contented and the most wonderful people on the earth. We are that now, but so many people, even people that love God; they really don’t have an understanding and a revelation of some of these simple truths.

When we have the revelation that we have been predestinated, that does not mean that I cannot make choices, or that God forces me to do anything. The seed of God, which is our human spirit, is what God is concerned about. He is not concerned with the identity that we have accumulated since our birth, of being simply a human being separated and alienated from God. We are the seed of God on the earth. The seed of God, the spiritual being that we are is where the predestination has taken place. We have been predestinated to be conformed to the image of God, who works all things after the counsel of His will.

Ephesians 3 beginning in verse 10 says this: “To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in Heavenly places might be made known by the church, the manifold wisdom of God, according to the eternal purpose which He purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord, who works all things after the counsel of His own will.” Paul says

God is working all things after the counsel of His own will. We are getting many reports from all over the world, of people who are

beginning to realize and have an understanding that they are spiritual beings. I’ve been ministering on this since about 1982.

I recently posted writing on Facebook that I wrote a few years ago on “The Secret.” A lot of people have been concerned about me teaching this because they think it’s New Age. But I’ve been teaching it from a scriptural standpoint. If everyone could understand and believe what Jesus taught, we would all be operating into a much more spiritual effectiveness on this earth.

Jesus said, “Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he saith.” Now what is not scriptural about that? And why do we not experience that? Why do we, as God’s sons and daughters on this earth, why is it that we can say all kinds of things that never come to pass? – Because we don’t really have the revelation! Revelation without transformation is just information. We and I’m including myself, most of what I say doesn’t come to pass either.

God is bringing us a revelation and an understanding of His purpose on the earth and there is nothing religious about God’s purpose.

Chapter 2

God’s purposes never have anything to do with outward religion or with us learning a bunch of outward codes of conduct. God’s purposes are solely to infiltrate and incarnate in humanity. Now that is the simplest plan of God that you can find. God has one purpose and I remember that for years I used to seek God and say, “God what is your purpose for my life?” Because the only thing I knew to do was go to church, read my Bible and pray – and I still do that, because you know they are wonderful things, but I never knew what my purpose was. I would ask God, “Should I be a missionary, should I go to Africa, shall I teach Sunday school, shall I witness on the streets? God, what is it you want me to do?”

Clearly one day I understood what God wanted. “I simply want to incarnate in humanity.” There is nothing at all religious about that. Not only did God want to incarnate in humanity, He did it! When I was born in 1941, God incarnated in humanity, I spent years living and had no concept of that at all. And so not having a true concept about who I was, a spiritual being incarnating into humanity, I was taught that I was a human being born in sin and iniquity, separated and alienated from God.

I tried all of my life to be what God wanted me to be, and I couldn’t make it. I didn’t have the character to make it. But when I discovered that my true nature, my true being was spirit, then I just began to meditate and get into what Jesus taught and my life began to change drastically. We have been predestined, think of this, according to the eternal purpose, which He purposed in Christ Jesus, who works all things after the council of His own will.

God’s purpose, His eternal purpose is incarnation. God wants a body to manifest His wonderful attributes, all of His beauty, all of His compassion, all of His magnificent being, He wants to express in humanity. That is the purpose of God. Now once you really discover that then it no longer concerns you about what’s the will of God for my life, because you already know what it is. God wants to inhabit, to fully incarnate in your being. And so you focus all of your being and all of your attention, seeking God for a revelation. Like Paul said, “When it pleased God to reveal His Son in me”, is when I went forth to preach.

once we begin to have an unveiling of being a spiritual being, then the will of God for our individual life is really of no concern, because God’s will for you is predestined within your spirit. And as you spiritually mature, then you will automatically begin to manifest and begin to flow in whatever God’s will is for your life. You don’t have to think about it; you don’t have to study about it. It just flows from your inner being.

I have said for years it is so easy to be a Christian. It is so easy to be godly. In fact it takes more effort to be ungodly than it does to be godly, once you understand and have that revelation of God in you. Yet before we can ever really have much experience as being a manifestation or an expression of God on this earth, we really have to understand God, because until you really understand God and really have a revelation of His divine nature and attributes, you will never express your true nature,

You will express religious ideas. You will tell the sinner that he is hell-bound, that God is angry with him, that he is separated from God and his only hope is to get himself right with God. That is what you will tell somebody if you don’t know the true character of God. But once God begins to be formed in you and you begin to

enter that place in the spirit and experience the unconditional, unfathomable love of God for all of creation is when you begin to affect everyone around you. It’s an amazing thing.

I don’t call anybody a sinner anymore. They may be doing a lot of bad things but that is not who they are. You could sit sinners in a church group for years and tell them how sinful they are, tell them how God is angry with them, tell them how their sins separates them from the presence of God and give them no hope except to repent in the religious sense, and change, and you will help very few people.

If you reveal to them the Gospel of good news of the true nature of their inner being and begin to share with them how that they were spiritual beings before they ever became physical, and that their true nature is a spiritual nature and that all the attributes of God that they are searching for in religion are already on the inside of them. When we help people by speaking Life, Light and Love to them instead of Guilt and condemnation it will be much easier for them to accept the truth.

We are today, a manifestation of God’s Christ on this earth. That is God’s purpose to incarnate. When I say the word, “incarnate”, I mean that God wants to fully possess us. And express all of His essence and divine beauty. One day I was reading in Hebrews chapter 11, about the men of faith and according to Hebrews 11, those were the guys who never quite made it. It said, “They all looked for a city, who’s builder and maker was God.” “These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.” All, the “patriarchs in the Old Testament”; they

all were looking for that City of God. Now this is a key verse in 15 of chapter 11: “And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had an opportunity to have returned.” You see; they didn’t really know where they came from. One of the greatest revelations God has brought to us in recent years is the revelation that we have always been. And now that we are mindful from that place from where we came, we are going back, not back in the sense of traveling from this location to that, but going back in the conscious awareness of where we came from; we are consciously aware that we came from God living in a heavenly consciousness and we are returning to that awareness of being in the kingdom now.

God’s purpose according to the Old Testament scriptures was to have a Kingdom, of priests”. Exodus 10, beginning at verse 4 it says, “You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles’ wings, and brought you to myself. Now therefore, if you will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then you shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine. And you shall be unto me a Kingdom of priests, and a holy nation.”

I absolutely love the scriptures because in the scriptures it gives you the total plan of God, and helps you understand actually what God’s purpose is for you. “If you will obey my voice” – How many of us have ever been taught in Christian churches that we needed to obey the voice of God? What we were told is this: “You better obey the voice of your leader.” Well, I don’t know about you, but I was in the Christian churches for years, I was raised in the Lutheran church and went into Pentecost. I studied Mormonism; I studied some of Jehovah Witness; I looked at World Wide Church or God. I never found anybody that told me that all I

needed to do was hear the voice of God and obey it. I didn’t know I could hear the voice of God.

Becoming a manifestation or expression of God on the earth is the simplest act: Hear God’s voice and do what He says. Not what the preacher says. There are some wonderful preachers but they are not to control you. A true priest will never control you. “If you will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant” What is His covenant? In the Old Testament it was a promise, but in the New Testament it is fulfilled. “For I will take out your stony heart” that old stubborn stony heart, “I will give you a heart of flesh. I will put my Spirit within you, and I will cause you to walk in my statutes.” That has never changed. “If you will obey my voice and keep my covenant, you shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all the peoples of the earth. Today almost everywhere I go, you will still meet people today who have been seeking God for 30 years, and they still say, “I never hear God’s voice.” We really hear God all the time. I don’t think anybody doesn’t, but they don’t recognize it as God. I tell you, God is so one with you that many times God will speak to you and you won’t recognize it as God. I often use this example.

When I first realized that I could hear God’s voice I would say, “God, please help me. I don’t know how to hear you.” And so one day I was walking down the street, and I had this strong sense to pick up a piece of paper that was on the street, and I just kind of shrugged it off. Then I just knew that I had missed the voice of God.

God is so intertwined and so one with us that the natural is becoming spiritual and the spiritual is becoming natural. The New Covenant says “I have given you a heart of flesh.” My pastors always taught me that my heart was desperately wicked, and I

couldn’t trust it, so if I believe that then I have to trust them or someone else.

Carol and I have learned to trust our heart for years. Whatever desire comes in our hearts, I can trust that, because no longer do I believe that I have a wicked and desperate heart. I believe what the scriptures say, that God has given us a new heart of flesh. And God’s desires have become our desires. If God really wants you to do something, He is the one that is going to put that desire in you to do it. If you have a religious idea that you should do something and yet your desire is nowhere near that, and you don’t have any sensation at all to do that; you are probably hearing your mind and not your spirit.

A lot of times people have come to me in the past about certain issues, about perhaps thinking about making a move or something and they will ask me, “How in the world to I hear God?” And I will always ask them, “What is it that you want to do? What do you really feel that you want to do?” And almost all of the time it will be what God wants if your heart is to serve God.

Those of you who are familiar with our ministry, I’ve taught that for years, that you have to learn to trust your anointing. 1st John 2:27, “The anointing which you have received abides in you. You don’t need any man to teach you. For that same anointing teaches you all things.” So people say, “If that is true, what are you doing out here running all over the world teaching people?” Well I’m teaching them that they don’t need a teacher. But see, that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t listen to teachers. As young believers we need a certain amount of teaching until we begin to discern the spiritual voice within.

What it means is this: When you hear someone speak and you have a sensation within that that is just not right for me, then that

is not right for you at that time in your spiritual walk but later you may change your view. When you hear someone speak or you read a book and I don’t care where it came from; if when you read it, it make you feel good; it draws you closer to God; it gives you a stronger desire to know God; it helps you to get into forgiveness, whatever that book is, where ever that book comes from, you need to learn to trust your inner witness. I was told not to read anything from Buddha or any other religious books that were not Christian. That is how you are kept in bondage and darkness. I was told not to read Walter Lanyon or Joel Goldsmith yet those two men helped me more than any Christian writer.

I found a book on my bookshelf one day called “In His Presence” by E.W. Kenyon. That book literally changed my life. I bought cases of that book and gave them away, yet Kenyon was called an angel of light by many Christian groups.

You need to learn to go by your feelings. Now when I was in Pentecost; that is the thing they warned me against. “Don’t go by your feelings; you have to go by faith.” And I’d say, “Well, does faith have any feelings?” There will be a period of time as a new Christian when you won’t always want to trust your feelings, but we need to start somewhere. There is a verse in Romans 8 that says, “To be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.”

Life and peace are emotional feelings. And so when you contemplate on doing something how does it make you feel inside? If it makes you feel weak or uneasy, that is death. if you are contemplating something and it gives you life and it’s refreshing, that is the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus.

Chapter 3

If we will all begin to sit in his presence and quiet the carnal mind we will begin to know that voice and when we obey what we hear we will begin to experience living in the kingdom now.

“You shall be unto me kingdom of priests and a holy nation.” We know where we came from. We all know somewhat of the Melchisedec priesthood. The Melchisedec priesthood is a people today who have no beginning of days or end of life, as they are ministering the bread and the wine.

The bread is simply the living, energizing, vibrant spoken Word of God, and the wine is the enjoyment of God. So God is raising up on the earth today a corporate man, a corporate priesthood, a holy nation. 1st Peter chapter 2 says, “You also as living stones are built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Zion a chief corner stone, elect and precious: and he that believeth on Him, shall not be confounded, or be confused”

Have you ever seen any people that are more confused than Christians? Well, it’s because they don’t believe Him. Now they do believe on the man of Galilee they just don’t believe what he said, if they did we would not have so much division and fighting in the church. “He that believeth on Him shall not be confused.” Have you ever tried to find the right church?

Carol and I in 1992 gave up on finding the right church. When you stop to think about it, we have thousands of denominations, hundreds of divisions within denominations. The Baptist church alone is divided over how to baptize. We have Christians all over the world that is so confused. But it says, “He that believeth on Him shall not be confused – because ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people, that you should show forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness.”

There are many Christians that are not out of darkness yet. They are still fighting the devil. When I first started ministering, people used to look at me so funny because I’d say, I never have a problem with the devil. Never! Not one time! I have no fear of the devil because I found out where the devil was. He wasn’t outside of me; he was right in here, right between my ears always accusing me. Once I discovered where he was and what his tactics were, and I discovered that greater is He that is in me than he that is in this carnal mind, I had no more problems with the devil.”

I read one day where God has transferred me from the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of light. We all know that. Yet we walk around in darkness, binding the darkness. You don’t go in a dark room and bind the darkness. You turn on the light switch, and darkness flees. You just need to turn on the light. And what did Jesus say? “You are the light of this world.” All of us need that revelation. And it’s not talking about the old human nature. None of us are anything. Even Jesus Himself said, “I of mine own self can do nothing.”

We are learning to not operate from the carnal mind and we beginning to operate in the power of the spirit. Christ is a

corporate man. “He that believeth on Him shall not be confounded.” Christians all over the world believe in Jesus but they don’t really believe on Him, because when you believe on Him, you become like Him, and you don’t have to try and do it. Nobody has ever become godly by trying to do it.

You only become godly when you have the light and the glory of His magnificent presence burst forth in your inner being. That is to become like Him. “You are living stones, are built up a spiritual house.” All over the world we have Baptists, Lutherans, Pentecostals Mormons and many more. Everybody believes in the same God. Even the Muslims, they don’t have a different God than you do. How could they? Paul said it very well. He said, “There is only one God. There is only one Spirit, only one.”

Why are we so confused? Why do we fight amongst ourselves? Because we don’t believe on Him. We’ve been given religious teachings that cause us to divide and separate amongst ourselves, and so we are confused. That is why in Revelation 17 it talks about mystery Babylon, the great Harlot. Babylon simply means confusion. How can all of these people and all of these denominations all read the same Bible, all worship the same God, all testify to the name of Jesus and power of the cross; how can these people divide themselves from one another?

I’ll never forget when I entered into Pentecost, I thought, “God; this is the answer. If we can get everybody baptized in the spirit and speaking in tongues, we will finally be one.” And look what happened. I don’t mean it in a wrong judgmental way, but most Pentecostals are mean if you don’t see it their way.

Whenever you become indoctrinated with religion it’s a horrible thing to think that you are right and everybody else is wrong. Even the doctors of theology and the philosophers, some of the

greatest minds in the world can’t agree. How can we think that only we have the truth? You can only know you have the truth if you become the truth. That is why Jesus could say, “I am the truth. I don’t have to look for truth anywhere else, because I am the truth.” Well I AM that is the truth, is the spiritual being that you are. That is the only place that you will ever find truth experientially, is right in your own spirit. When we begin to mature spiritually, then we will begin to walk in reality in the Kingdom of God.

“I lay in Zion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on Him shall not be confounded.” So you can believe on a man of Galilee; you can believe on Jesus in that sense, and be confused and confounded all your life. So it’s not talking about an intellectual belief system here. It is believing on Him – I think the Amplified says it best, “If you believe, rely, trust in and adhere to.” The only way we cannot be confused it to know God intimately.

Jesus was always trying to give His disciples a true evaluation of their Father, and that is why He said, “Don’t call any earthly man your father.” Jesus came to give us a clear understanding of the unconditional love of the Father. He then began to reveal to them their true nature and their true identity by saying to them, “You are the light of the world”. “You are the salt of the earth.” He said, “You don’t light a candle and put it under a bushel.” I think we’ve done that for years, because who are we to stand up and say, “I am the light of the world?” Well you can’t do that in your human nature and in your carnal thinking. You can only do that in your spiritual identity. When that becomes a revelation to us, then we can stand and we can boldly say, “I am the light of the world.”

Revelation chapter 5 says, “And He hath made us unto our God kings and priests; and we shall reign on the earth.” Now most people take these kinds of verses, especially in Revelation, and they put them off in the future. Do you know that someday we are going to reign, rule and reign with Christ? But today we’ve got to fight with one another and we’ve got to separate ourselves from certain people that are teaching things that just aren’t quite right.

About 1995, I found out about the Kingdom folks. I thought, now this is the answer.” A group of people were teaching Kingdom principles, and Kingdom life styles. The story is always the same. We have some of the greatest reconciliation preachers on the earth today that cannot get along with those who teach certain things.

I’ve been ministering this for years; we need to get past our intellect. I had good Christian friends, good Kingdom ministers, who cannot associate with me because they think I am teaching wrong doctrine. We have developed an intellectual gospel system. I’ve been hammering this for years. What we know is not always our experience. What we know is intellectual. And we have to get beyond the intellect into the experiential walk, because how can we say that God is reconciling all men, yet we can’t get along with one another? Now, there is no reason why we have to all agree with one another. There is no reason why I can’t believe in predestination and you can believe in damnation or what ever you want. That shouldn’t divide us at all. Anything intellectual shouldn’t divide us. What I experience spiritually should not divide me from anyone who doesn’t experience what I experience. We even divide over doctrinal issues like in the Pentecostal church I was in, if you didn’t believe in the virgin birth, you couldn’t be saved What does a belief system like that

have to do with you being an expression of God on the earth? Why would you be angry and resentful and talk about somebody who didn’t believe in the virgin birth? Do you think you can convince them of the truth? I don’t think so.

When you introduce someone to the reality of God’s unconditional love, that is the only thing that is going to change them and then God will begin to reveal to them the truth. Truth does not come through intellectual understanding. It starts there but it has to go beyond the intellect. I am so blessed to see God raising up a people today who will not divide themselves against anyone else. Once we have an understanding of our true nature, we understand the power of God. The power of God has everything to do with our inner being, our inner nature. "God has made, not will make us kings and priests, and we shall reign on the earth.” Not too many people know what a priest is. Is a priest a Catholic that wears a turnaround collar? Is a priest someone who has gone to Bible school and learned how to be a preacher and counsel people? A priest is simply someone who has had the unveiling and the revelation and experience of Christ living in them. You don’t have to go to a school for that. It’s that simple. To be a priest is to have the simple revelation that Christ truly is in me. One of the most helpful things for me over the years was to realize that Christ is in every man. How can that be? – Because we all came out from God. I love quantum physics, but I don’t understand much of it. I don’t have a technical mind. But yet, the quantum physicists of our day are proving that everything that exists came out of one source.

Whether it is you or me, quantum physics proves that we all came from one source. We are a marvelous manifestation of God. We are the word made flesh. We all came from the same source; we all have the same life and the same nature deep within our consciousness. Think of it. We know this is true, intellectually. Jesus lives in me, and He lives in you; we are individual unique expressions of our Father. We have the same compassion and understanding that He has. We can never be divided except in our darkened mind and understanding. If I see someone who I figure doing something wrong, or they’ve have wrong doctrine, I never think badly about the person. My heart goes out to them, and I just say, “God, if I’m wrong, show me. If they are wrong, show them.” Our differences really should not matter because we can fellowship regardless of our intellectual belief systems. So a true priest is one who has a revelation, not intellectual, but a experiential revelation of God in them, and then God flows from the priest, He flows out of our innermost being to become a reconciler to the world. That is our purpose, just to let people know that God loves them.

Chapter 4

You don’t ever have to fear being separated and alienated from God. Now you may be, in your mind, but you need to understand that God has already reconciled you; God has already chosen you. Something that has been hurtful is that some teach that predestination is only for a certain few.

Ephesians chapter 1, “We’ve been chosen in Him before the foundation of the world that we should be holy and without blame.” Well, if we believed that, we would be so happy. If we knew that we were chosen in Him before the foundation of the world, then we have nothing to worry about. Our Destiny is sealed.

We incarnated into this physical realm, and there is nothing that we can do carnally, with our natural mentality, to change ourselves in any way. Jesus said it this way: “How could any of you by taking thought, even add a cubit to his stature?” However if we knew that we were chosen in Him before the foundation of the world, and we have the seed of God in that has been pre-programmed and predestinated to reproduce God on this earth, what do we have to worry about?

As a priest we do not work for God. A priest simply recognizes that not only does he live in the presence of God on this earth, but He is the presence of God on this earth. David said it this way: “Where can I go to get out of the presence of God? Even if I go to hell, I find He is there. So, we need to help people understand that you may not at this moment sense the presence of God, but you are never out of His presence.

People need to know that at any time, any given moment in any situation, all it takes is a slight turn in your inner being to turn your heart to the Lord. 2 Corinthians 3:16 “Whenever the heart shall turn to the Lord, the veil shall be taken away”. What is that veil? It’s your carnal mind, your carnal understanding, and your religious mind. Whenever your heart just slightly turns to the Lord, the veil will begin to be removed from your eyes and you will begin to sense the sweetness of his presence.

God flows from the priest, flows from their inner being to become a reconciler to the world. It is so wonderful to not judge people in the wrong way, there is a righteous judgment, we shouldn’t judge one another in the sense of being condemning. A righteous judgment will recognize by discernment what is wrong, maybe, in your life. But a righteous judgment won’t condemn you for that. A righteous judgment will minister to you the life and the essence of God so that you will realize God loves you and only wants the best for you. that is a righteous judgment.

So a priest doesn’t work for God. A priest just recognizes that the being of God, the essence of God, the magnificence of God is flowing from his inner being. A priest is a living expression of God on this earth.

Would you believe you could be an expression of God without ever having read a Bible, without ever going to church or Bible

school? This is why in all the cultures of the world, in all the religions of the world, you will find people who will shine with the love, nature and the character of God, because it’s not a matter of intellectual knowledge. Now I will tell you that the most wonderful knowledge that you can have is the knowledge of Jesus Christ, the value of the cross, and what it means in our lives, that God so loved us that He came in a human form, incarnated in that man Jesus, and showed us the love of the Father. He gave us someone to look at, who loved us so much He was willing to die and go to the cross.

Christians all over the world believe that, yet they’re still not manifesting Christ. But you will find people, and I’ve met some from different cultures and different religions, that when you meet them you sense the love of God. You sense the compassion of God. Gandhi was one of those men. Yet your traditional Christian religion will teach you that Gandhi is in hell, because the typical Christian believes that you have to have the intellectual knowledge right to be accepted by God.

Some think if you do not believe right, you can’t be saved, that is such nonsense. Now it’s wonderful to believe right. I remember hearing a preacher say in my early church days, that we needed to go to Africa, and we needed to go to India. We needed to go all over the world and tell people about Jesus because they were all dying by millions and going to hell and burning forever, because we didn’t tell them about Jesus.

If you have a concept of God like that, how could you help anybody? Because all you can do is go out and tell them, “He died for you but you’ve got to receive Jesus or you are going to hell.” A lot of them will receive Jesus, and they are still in hell the rest of their lives, because hell is a consciousness, not necessarily a literal

place. You know what hell is? I lived in hell for many years as a Christian. Hell is wanting so desperately to be like Jesus, and not being able to do it. Hell is reading the Bible, ten chapters a day, speaking in tongues for an hour a day, spending hours and hours and hours every week, crying and wanting so desperately to be like God, and be a total failure. That is hell.

I was in that hell for many years. So it has nothing to do with an intellectual belief system. God’s eternal purpose is that we would hear His voice. Now you could hear His voice in the preacher. You really can. You can hear His voice reading the scriptures. But the real problem is this coming to be able to trust that which you hear that is opposite, or perhaps opposes what you’ve been taught all your life.

You see; it’s like I shared here earlier that we have been chosen in Him before the foundation of the world. We have church doctrines that say, “Well, that is true. God did choose some. And those He chose will be OK. But those He didn’t are going to go to hell forever. Not long ago I was talking with someone, and I said, “What about this verse? “Whom He foreknew, He did also predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son.” Well he said, “Sure. If God foreknew you he then predestinated you.”

I say this: “Who didn’t He foreknow?” Is there anybody that God didn’t foreknow? So whom He foreknew, He also predestinated to be conformed to the image of His Son. He foreknew me, and He foreknew you. So His plan and His purpose and His will is to bring you into an understanding and then an experiential expression of all that He taught in the scriptures.

We no longer have to be afraid of the devil. We no longer have to worry about where my next meal is coming from. You won’t have to worry about where is the money coming to pay my rent. You

won’t have to worry if you get laid off from your job. If you really have this understanding of being a spiritual being, “Take no thought – as Jesus said, of what ye shall eat or what ye shall wear.” I used to imagine what a life like that would be like, not to have any cares or any worries. Carol and I have learned to live that way now for many years. And it’s the most wonderful thing when you come up against these difficult things to know that all things work together for our good. I’ll tell you an experience I had. Some of you have heard it because I’ve put it on my tape a couple of months ago. When God said to me, “The words of your own mouth have kept you in a prison.” – Because I was really studying this – we have a set of CDs and a movie on “The Secret”. And the Lord said, “You have kept yourself in bondage by your own words.” And then He brought to my attention something that I’d been saying for years that is the truth; it’s my experience. And I said this: “Carol and I have learned that God is our supply, and that we know that He meets our needs. But it’s always just enough.” And sometimes the rent is due, and we don’t have the money yet. And the Lord brought this to mind, and I’ve said this so many times: “The Lord always meets our needs, but it’s just enough.” And He said, “You have been snared by the words of your mouth.”

When I heard that, I told Carol, I said, “Carol, you will never hear me say again that the Lord supplies just enough”, because we are abundantly satisfied with the provision that He gives us. So that is just a small example of how to hear His voice and obey what He says. And we can all hear that voice. But we must learn to trust that which we hear. I had somebody call me just not long ago and try to convince me that “The Secret” was just a bunch of New Age junk. But Jesus didn’t use those words, but I can tell you; that is what He taught. He did teach that you can have that, which you can believe for. And so then I was dealing with the Lord about

this: I said, “I do believe, and I’ve always believed; I know that if I ask you to heal a cancer, I have no problem believing you can do it. But I’m always doubting it.” – Because I would pray for something, and I’d believe God, but yet here would come the doubt. I’d begin to doubt. “Well, you know, it doesn’t work for very many people. I mean, I know people all over the country that have been prayed for, for cancer, and they all died. So what chance do I have?” And you know how the Lord taught me to deal with that? This is by hearing His voice.

Some ago It was revealed to me, “Doubt is not a thought.” He said, “When you are believing for something, in the Word it says, if you can believe and not doubt in your heart, you shall have what you are believe Him for.” When you have a negative thought; that is not doubt. That is a thought. And so you deal with that the way you’ve learned to deal with food, and clothing, and all that, you just take no thought. So when you pray for something, and the negative thought comes, if you don’t entertain that thought, it will never become a doubt. But if you take the thought and you think about the thought, and you mull over it then that doubt gets in your heart, and that stops the thing that you need to bring forth which you are believing for.

So that is how important it is. So now I realize, I don’t doubt anymore, because I’ll deal with that the way I’ve dealt with our clothing, our rent, everything. Carol and I have learned, we don’t take a thought. So now I’m learning not to take a thought about these doubts that come, because that is all they are; they are just thoughts and they are not doubts until I entertain them, until I receive them, until I feel the depression and feel the weakness; then they get in my heart and they stop the active faith.

God’s purpose is so simple. He just wants to incarnate in humanity. How many years have we even sang songs about, “We are the temple.” And yet, look at us! We are just as sick as the world. We are just as divisive. But we are beginning to sing; we really are the temple. We really are the manifestation of God on this earth. And maybe that manifestation is not very much right at this moment, but it is getting stronger all the time. I had the most wonderful experiences of coming out of some of these areas that I lived in for years as a Christian, of not being able to overcome this, and being concerned about that. So a priest is one where God flows from our inner being to be a reconciler of the world.

Chapter 5

For years I tried to figure out what God’s purpose is. I tried to figure out what my purpose was. But God’s purpose is very simple. God wants to incarnate in humanity. There are people all over the world today who love God with all their hearts, but because of not experiencing the abundant life or other reasons, they want to get out of here. Some are just waiting for a rapture thinking God would come to rescue them from this veil of tears.

Some think that Heaven is a location somewhere and that once we die that that is when we are really going to be enjoying our lives. So many Christians want to get off the earth and all the time God wants to come to earth. There is no way that I want to go anywhere, because I realize heaven is a conscious reality that we experience now. Jesus said as we all know, “The Kingdom of heaven is within you.”

God’s purpose is to fully inhabit and incarnate in my being. Even if you don’t know it, that is your purpose or you wouldn’t even be here, because before the foundations of the earth were ever laid, God had an eternal purpose. That purpose was not a religious purpose. There was a time that I thought the only way I could

ever find peace and rest and happiness was by reading the Bible all the time, praying for two or three hours a day. And I spent years doing that. And it’s a wonderful thing. I wouldn’t change that at all. But I found out that’s not my purpose. My purpose is to have an unveiling of the realization of the unconditional, unfathomable being of God that I am. That is my purpose.

“Our purpose” for becoming physical or being lowered into this dense physical realm is because God wants to come to earth. God wants to be expressed in all of His attributes and all of His glory. And you know what? You can’t learn how to do that. Religion taught us that to really be spiritual we had to obey the voice of whoever was our leader, or our overseer. If we ever wanted to progress with God, then we had to submit ourselves to those who had the rule over us, and that is very scriptural. When we are young believers we need spiritual men to help guide us. However when you begin to hear the voice of God, you need no one to control you.

The hearing of His voice brings the ability and the nature of God to begin to come forth in you. In hearing His voice you are fully equipped to do that which you hear Him speak to you.

The reason that we speak and we minister to one another is because we need confirmation on some of the things God says to us because when we begin to hear the voice of God, we will hear things contrary to what we have been taught and learned all of our lives.

When we begin to hear the voice of God, and obey what we hear, and begin to trust the anointing which every one of us have, is when we will begin to experientially walk in the Kingdom. If we really believe in the pattern that Jesus was, you will become like him.

To believe Him, is not just saying, “Oh, I believe in Jesus, the man of Galilee that lived 2,000 years ago.” That is not believing on Him because all the Christians believe on Him, yet most are still confounded and they are still confused. Why? – Because they do not really believe on Him. If we believe on Him, there will not be confusion in our life. We won’t have to run to somebody else and try to figure out if what we are hearing is God, or is it perhaps the devil or some other deceiving spirit trying to lie to us. We will become very, very clear in our understanding.

So who ever believeth on Him shall not be confused, “For you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation and a peculiar people that you should show forth the praise of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” This is one of my favorite songs by Bob and Charlotte Torango:

I'M RAISING UP IN YOUR HOUSE AGAIN, Bringing salvation without sin, Tearing down that carnal man,

In every temple where he stands.

I'm raising up with a brand new Word, In a voice you've never heard, I'm raising up, I'm raising up,

In your house again!

There is a voice in the land today that is ringing with such clarity and such simplicity, it is one voice but it is the sound of many waters, because it is being declared by different people all over the world. It is a voice that is bringing such clarity and understanding to our true nature and identity.

Many years ago Bill Britton wrote a book called “The Pattern Son”. And that is exactly what Jesus was. He is our pattern! Two

thousand years later we still haven’t got it. We are still trying to be like Him. I tried for years to be like Him. As long as we are trying to be like Him, we will never be. We have to have an unveiling of the reality of that same life that Jesus has is now our life and nature.

I can remember the days when I used to go out and cry and cry and say, “God, I can’t live this way trying and failing to be a good Christian.” Today I cry again with joy because I’m so full of knowing that God took all the effort out of trying to do anything. And I’m just so excited; I’m so happy today knowing that when I wake each morning that God is once again living and breathing and operating and filling and flowing from an earthen vessel.

We don’t need a bunch of doctrines. I gave a message a few years ago called, “The Winds of Doctrine.” And after I gave that message, there were several of the ministries that came against me. And they said, “Brother, you can’t talk like that. You’ve have to have sound doctrine.” And I said, “Now wait a minute. Sound doctrine is not speaking in tongues. Sound doctrine is not how we baptize, whether we dunk or whether sprinkle, whether we go in fresh water or salt water. That is not sound doctrine. God could care less about what you believe in doctrine. Doctrine is what has split and divided us for 2,000 years, because all of us are at different stages and different levels of growth and transformation. What seems like a deception and a lie to me years ago, I now fully embrace, and I’m so grateful that God took the blinders off my eyes.”

It’s amazing to me today that God’s people all over the earth understand this wonderful message of God’s unconditional love for all of humanity. It’s hard to understand that people can preach a loving God and then preach that He might be some kind

of a monster. How could God be unconditional love and then create a place where most of his creation would be eternally punished?

I can’t watch preachers on TV very much anymore, because I feel so sorry for those people sitting in those pews hearing about an angry God who just can’t wait to wind this thing up so He can come and pour out His judgments and tortures upon the people of the earth, while all the Christians get to be suspended in the air and watch all the suffering and hurtful things that is coming on God’s creation.

We have so misunderstood the Word of God, because God is not coming to judge the earth in that sense. There has only been one judgment as far as sin and separation from God. The judgment has already past. You may ask “Brother, how can you say that?” I can say that because I see the value of the cross! Hebrews says, “It is appointed unto man once to die, and after this the judgment.” And all of creation went into death at Calvary, and the judgment was pronounced. And when Jesus resurrected from among the dead, He didn’t just bring out the Christians. All of creation was raised up and seated in Heavenly places with Him.

Our dwelling place is not in another location called, “Heaven” or up on some other planet somewhere. But our dwelling place is in the very essence and presence of God Himself. And it can’t be any closer to you than the very breath you breathe because the Spirit of God is as the air that you breathe. It surrounds you and envelopes you. Every time you take a breath you can be conscious of breathing in the Spirit of the living God.

So many people today are waiting for Jesus to come back; they are hungry and are asking how long? How long must we wait until our King Jesus returns?” God would say from very realms of

Heaven, “He has never left you.” The spirit of Christ is just as much with you today as he was then but in a greater way because now you experience His presence within you. Christ in you will totally fill you as you take your focus off of Christ in the heavens far away and focus of the Christ within you. We will never become God or Christ but he will completely unveil you to the reality of your being until you realize you are Christ on the earth. You do not have to become what you already are. The reason we do not experience this very much is because we are still looking at our carnality and focusing on that. In reality you can be nothing but what God made you to be.

Oh what a joy it is when our eyes are opened and we begin to walk in the kingdom. I used to sing some beautiful songs of longing for the lord like: “We are the temple” and “Lord Take Me into Your Holy Place.” The lord seemed so far away from me.

I understand people’s hearts. I used to long for the day when Jesus would come back. However Jesus never went anywhere. He never left. He is the head of the new creation. David said in Psalms 27 and verse 4:

“One thing have I desired of the Lord. That is what I’ll seek after. That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life to behold the beauty of the Lord and to enquire in His temple.”

I used to read that verse over and over with the same longing in my heart. In those days I didn’t have the understanding, the revelation of being Christ on the earth. I used to go out in the desert and I’d cry and I say, “God, I so long to be in your presence.” And then one day the dawning of the light of the glory of His presence began to shine within me. I realized, not only am I in the presence of God but I am the presence of God.

There is such a word coming forth today that is just as clear as when Jesus was here, and He looked at His disciples and He said, “You are clean through the word that I have spoken to you.” There is a voice that is sounding forth in our land today, it is a voice that will bring such change and transformation in our life. We don’t have to read 10 chapters a day. We don’t have to pray for 1 hour a day to get in His presence. We need to know that no matter what we are doing, if we are cutting the grass, if we are on the golf course playing a round of golf, if we are sitting in a movie theatre watching a movie, we are just as much in the presence of God as we will ever be.

God does not turn from you, and God does not leave you because you go in a certain place, or walk in a certain way, or you are walking into error and you get into misunderstanding; God never turns away from us. I was told as a young Christian that if I went into a bar that Jesus would stay outside. I was never told I was one with God and he would never leave me.

We are beginning to enter the Kingdom age and oh how glorious it is. Jesus was the pattern Son of God. As he is so are we in this world. He proved that God had a heart to bring only restoration and reconciliation to the world. He proved that death had no power, in the sense that we thought. The death we experience is the separation from God that is a lie of the mind.

We were never born and we will never die. Our parents gave birth to a baby but our spirit came from God. There is a scripture that has been attributed to Jesus but it is true of all of us. Isaiah 9:6 “Unto us a child is born and unto us a son is given.” You see; your mother had a child, but she didn’t have a son. My mother had a child, but the son was given. The child was born, but the son was given from the very realms of Heaven.

God is opening and revealing to us that we are the Melchisedec priesthood, without beginning of days nor end of life. And we are literally going to turn this world upside down. God’s ultimate intention, God’s eternal purpose is incarnation. It has nothing to do with religion whatsoever. God simply wants to be manifested in humanity. That is why you are here, but most of us probably got caught up in religion. We thought that to have fun we would feel a little guilty.

I remember before I was introduced to Pentecost, I used to come home every night, and I’d have a couple of drinks. I never drank to excess, I’d just come home from work and I’d have a couple of drinks before dinner. And after I was born again and met the Lord in such a wonderful experiential way, I’d come home at night and I’d have my drinks. I would sit at night with my cigarettes in my hand, smoking and reading the Bible, and I’ll tell you I enjoyed the presence of God so much. Then I went to church where I was told to have a drink was a sin. I was listening to a famous preacher on the radio one night, and he said, “Christians, don’t you think that you can blow smoke in the face of Jesus and make it into Heaven.” That almost destroyed me. It did destroy me spiritually for a while.

Religion will always kill you, but the spirit will give you life. I love God so much. I can sit down at night now if I want, and I can have a drink. And I have the perfect liberty to do anything that I want to do knowing that God is not up there looking for me to make a mistake. When we begin to have an experiential walk in the Kingdom of God it is the most glorious life that we can imagine.

There is not a more satisfied people on the earth than those who know their God. God’s ultimate intention is incarnation. Hebrews chapter 10 says this speaking of Jesus, “When He comes into the

world He said, Sacrifice and offering you had no pleasure, but a body you have prepared. God just wants your body to express his loveliness. God’s heart is to reveal this unconditional, unfathomable love to all of His creation. Again, in Hebrews chapter 10, “In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin you have had no pleasure.” This is one of the big reasons why they crucified Jesus. It’s because he told them in more than one instance that their concepts about God were wrong, that even what they were following in the Old Testament, some of their concepts were not right.

God’s eternal purpose and ultimate intention is incarnating in this physical realm. So when I discovered this is God’s purpose, why would I want to leave or look for a rapture? People say, “Aren’t you excited? Don’t you know that someday you’ll be in Heaven?” I can’t be in any more Heaven than I am in NOW! I can experience more of God in this physical realm, but I don’t want to go anywhere because I know what God’s intention is.

Chapter 6

Jesus said, “The Kingdom of Heaven is within you.” Thank God, the light is beginning to dawn. Jesus taught that we have abundant life. “I am come that you might have life.” The only way into a full expression and understanding of the truths that Jesus taught is to have a renewing of our mind. We are beginning to have a better understanding even of the cross. God did not require His Son to die on the cross so He could forgive us for something. God has never held anything against us. Jesus went to the cross to reveal to us the love of the Father and to give us a focal point that we can focus on knowing how much God loves us.

The message of the cross is this: that you died with Him. You’ll hear that in all Christendom that you died in Him. Your old man is crucified with Him. It is time we start to believe those things. You may say, “Well that’s not my experience.” But yet if it’s not your experience and you believe your experience, it will never become your experience. Regardless of what we experience, God is bringing such clarity and understanding to us that we can literally stand against what we feel and bring into reality that which is real.

We know that in the Old Testament, the Ark was a type of Christ. It was a type of us, the believer also. We know that the Ark was the acacia wood over laid with gold. Acacia wood always represents humanity and gold represents God. However it doesn’t represent our fallen humanity. The Ark represented the fine, uplifted humanity of Jesus Himself. Fully human and fully divine. In that Ark also was the hidden Manna. When we begin to experience the Christ within us, we begin to hear God speak some of the most wonderful things.

Also in the Ark were the tables of stone, which we call the Ten Commandments. All that simply means is Jesus and us have the law written in our hearts, because He was the pattern Son. It doesn’t mean the law in an outward way. The law is the expression of His life. And so I’ve been saying for many years, and I’ve heard others say it, that those laws were never laws; they were always promises. Because you see; when you begin to have the unveiling of His life within you, “Thou shalt love the Lord they God with all thy heart, with all thy soul and with all thy mind.” If we still need something written on the wall to tell us, “Thou shalt not steal”, we are in a whole lot of trouble, because the law was in the Ark representing the law of His life is in us and it flows out of us! It is nothing on the outside of us. We don’t need anything or anyone outside of us once the law of His life begins to operate in us. Nobody has to tell me I can’t steal or I shouldn’t steal, or I shouldn’t commit adultery, because the law of His life is operating within me.

We are coming into the understanding that yes, we are human, but we are also divine. Jesus Himself was no more divine than any of us. He just had a better understanding and a revelation of His true nature and identity. God today, by incarnating into our humanity, works His character into us. Our spiritual being, the

true being that we are, is simply a manifestation of God on the earth. However that which is in our spirit must be worked into our soul, what we call, “the mind, emotion and will”. Again, that is God’s purpose, God’s eternal purpose is to incarnate in humanity.

We are both a house and a habitation of God by the spirit, or in the spirit, and through the spirit as Ephesians tells us. Some of us have heard these messages for years, yet we still are not displaying the House. Some of the most prominent leaders of our day still do not have a revelation of the oneness message. They still will divide over their different perceptions and doctrines of God. It is certainly OK to have different doctrines of God because we are all at different levels of spiritual growth and understanding. The problem comes in when we divide over our differences.

Paul admonished the Corinthians 2,000 years ago. Some of you say you are Baptists. Some of you say you are Lutheran. Some of you say you are Pentecostals. Now these days, some are saying, “We are Third Day.” Paul even said this: “Some of you even say, I am of Christ.” When you say, “I am of Christ”, then you implying somebody else isn’t. Why are you putting titles on yourself that would cause you to divide from your fellow believers? See, it says in Revelation 17 that Mystery Babylon, the great Harlot has names of blasphemy. So why do you call yourself “Pentecostal and Baptist and Lutheran” and all of these different names that would cause others to divide?

Thank God for the understanding that is coming today. We are simply the Body. We are simply His manifestation on the earth. Yet when we say that, we realize that is true of everybody. You see, the real truths of God are not divisive, because what is true

for you is true for everyone. I could say, “I’m a Baptist.” That is not true for everyone. So that causes division. But I can say, “I am a man of faith, a manifestation of Christ, but so are you!” I realize that I have nothing that you don’t have There is only one life in this universe. There are not two lives. Paul said it very well. “There is only one Lord, one faith, one baptism.” There is only one! Yet we fight over how to baptize. We fight over the different faiths, what is right, is it the Lutheran faith, the Pentecostal faith? There is no such thing! There is only one faith. Yet in that faith, all of us are at different stages and levels of understanding. And we need to understand that so that we don’t criticize and condemn and separate ourselves from people who don’t believe like we do.

We are mingled with the Lord, the Human with the divine. We are one with Him for His purpose on the earth. And it’s not to be religious. “If you will hear my voice” That is the only requirement. “Hear my voice, if you will hear and obey” A lot of people are afraid of that word “obey”, because they do not understand when you hear the voice, you would not think of not obeying, because when God speaks to you, with His speaking comes the ability, the finances, and anything that you possibly need to fulfill that which He speaks.

Des Walter used to ask me to go to Africa with him. I was willing to go. But I’m not going to sit around and try to figure out where do I get the $5,000 dollars, or what am I going to do health wise when I get there? I’m not thinking about all that. The only thing I’m cautious about is what God is saying to me. Because I guarantee you if God says to me, “Go to Africa next year with Des,” I won’t be one bit concerned about anything, the money to get there, or the health situation, why would I be concerned? We get ourselves in such a bind and such a mess because we have a

religious mind, and we may feel like it’s our duty to go to Africa when somebody asks us, and so we may go over there and totally miss it, however there is nothing to worry about when you hear His voice.

The scriptures also speak a lot about God being like a flowing river. In fact the book of Genesis starts out with a river. The book of Revelation ends up with a river. So God is a flowing God. Jesus said, “Out of your inner most being shall flow rivers of living water.” When those living waters begin to flow from us, we see scripture is fulfilled in our eyes because everywhere that those waters flow it brings life and healing and restoration to God’s people. “If any man thirst” Let him come unto me and drink. For he that believeth on me, as the scripture has said, out of his innermost being shall flow rivers of living of water.”

We can all say Jesus lives in me and we can all experience that living water bringing life to all we contact. We will experience this when we spend time seeking after Him until we get the revelation of what we believe intellectually. The Holy Spirit flowing through us just strengthens us and energizes us. Oh, I’ve experienced this so many times. In the Ark was also Aaron’s rod that budded, representing resurrection.

The word, “resurrection” is used by the apostle Paul; he uses two words for, “resurrection”. And one of the words he uses means, “to stand up again”. You see; we have the spirit of life that flows from our inner being. And no matter how much you hurt physically, no matter how much pain, no matter what you are going through, there is a life in you that will stand up again. I’ve had all kinds of experience being at a point where I didn’t even know if I could live again, but the Spirit of His life in me always

causes me to stand up again. When God is flowing in you, it is such a treasure.

The other word that Paul used for “resurrection”, is when he said, “if by any means at all I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead” – Now when he used that word, “resurrection”, it means “to be fully resurrected out from among this physical carnal existence.” It means to be fully resurrected out of this deathful situation”. That is the heart of our Father. That is the heart of God that each of us will attain unto the resurrection of the dead. There will be no sickness and no disease. There will be no heartaches. There will be no crying and no tears. There will simply be a group of people on this earth who are expressing the divineness of His life, and the love of His innermost being. You see; resurrection life is already in us. But as long as you believe your experience, if it is not God’s experience, you will not rise above it. If I believed in some of what I have experienced, I probably wouldn’t be standing here right now. But there is something in me that causes life to spring forth. Sometimes when I’m hurting, if I can just get into that place, even the pain disappears. I’m sure we’ve all experience that. The Holy Spirit flowing through us totally transforms our lives.

Chapter 7

You can do your best to try to be godly. At the most you might become a little better human being. But in His presence, in His tangible presence, by the Spirit flowing through us it purifies our carnal mind. We were told for years, most of us, “God’s fire was retribution. God’s fire was because of His anger. If you didn’t straighten up, if you didn’t go to an altar, or even if you went to an altar and you didn’t lead a holy life, there may come a day when God would throw you into the fire, and you would be there and be tortured for all of eternity.” This is what the scriptures say about judgment. Isa 26:9 for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

God’s judgments are always for reconciliation. I guarantee you; every one of us will experience the fire. We will experience the judgment. But remember; God’s judgment is only to make right in you that which is wrong. The fire of God started, as we know in

the New Testament on the day of Pentecost. And it ended up as a lake of fire in the book of Revelation, not as a torture chamber, but as a purification process. God said to Jeremiah, Jer 5:14 Wherefore thus saith the Lord God of hosts, Because ye speak this word, behold, I will make my words in thy mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them. The word of God spoken through us will enter the ones we are speaking to and devour their carnality.

All of us are flames of fire. If you get a group of us together, the flames blending together, we become a lake of fire. And you let the unbeliever, you let the sinner, you let anyone come in amongst us, and if we are living flames of fire they will be purified. You won’t have to tell them they can’t do anything, because the very essence of who you are will bring change and restoration to their lives.

We experience day after day and week after people calling our office and weeping and saying, “Gary, I just read one of your books or heard one of your CD’s and my life has been changed.” I had a guy call me one time and he said, “I was getting gas at a gas station. I looked down on the ground and there was a little blue book there.” He said, “I picked it up and the title was, “The Gospel of Grace”. He said, “I read that. I can’t tell you the light and the glory that God flooded me with by reading that little book.” He said, “All my life I’ve felt guilty and I felt condemned and I knew I’d never make it. I didn’t even know if one day I might end up in the eternal flame.” But he said, “After reading that little book, I became so enlightened and I began to understand the love of God for me.” And he said, “It has changed my life.”

I had a guy call me and he said, “Gary, I’ve been in Jehovah Witness for over 20 years. I was a teacher. I taught people. I

went out on the street. I did all I was told to do.” But he said, “I always felt so guilty, “I’ve been reading your stuff, and I don’t know if I can really believe it, but it makes me feel so good.”

The Word of God is a life changing substance. It has everything to do with one who is walking in the very heart throb of God and knows that God loves all of creation. In these days, we have two choices for our living. We really do have choices. We can believe in the devil; we can believe in our carnality; we can believe the struggles and difficulties or we can begin to accept and believe in the beautiful being that we are.

There is one thing that will guide your life for good or evil. You know what that is? Your tongue, because what you speak will create for you your experience. You cannot speak sin and failure and sickness and disease and despair and despondency, and I did it for years, and expect to change. I used to say with all sincerity, “God, I’ll never be able to stop this. I’ll never be able to quit doing this. I’ve tried for years.” I know some of you have experienced this, but there are habits in our lives, and I’d start getting a desire and I say, “Oh God, I don’t want to do this.” Yet the desire would become stronger and stronger and stronger, and eventually I’d just give in to it and I do it, and then I’d feel so guilty. That is hell!

People ask me “Do you believe in hell?” Absolutely, I experienced it for many years. Some ask me “do you believe in the devil?” We don’t even understand who the devil is. I’m not so sure I have the complete understanding of who that creature is yet. But I do know this. If he ever was a literal being, the scriptures say that Jesus destroyed him who had the power of death; that is the devil.

The power of the devil is in our belief system. No matter what Jesus has accomplished for us, if your belief system never lines up

with it, you will never experience it. Paul told Timothy that God has brought life and incorruptibility to life through the gospel. That means “there is nothing corruptible about you.” That is what the gospel is supposed to do is to bring you into an understanding of God’s incorruptible being that you are.

I think Jesus gave a pretty good description of the devil. He said this: “Do not think that I accuse you to the Father. There is one that accuses you, and that is Moses.” Think about that. “Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father.” This is John 5:45. “There is only one that accuses you, even Moses in whom you trust.” What does it mean to trust Moses? It means to trust in what Moses wrote.

All of the guilt and the condemnation and shame that we lived under all of our lives was because of the Law of Moses. But even Paul said, “Without the law, there was no sin.” I didn’t know sin till the law came. When the law came it killed me and I died. Are you saying that the law is the devil? I’m telling you that is the accuser of the brethren. John 6:31, “Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat. But Jesus said, to them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven;” – Now think about what Jesus is saying. “Moses didn’t give you bread from heaven; but my Father gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is he which comes down from heaven, and gives life to the world.

About 90% of Christians are still eating that old manna. They are still being accused, because they are living under that Law of Moses. Christianity was supposed to bring people from a consciousness of the law into the consciousness of freedom. Hebrews says that the offerings of bulls and goats could never

take away sin. But what Jesus did, He brought in a consciousness without sin. When you begin to experience a consciousness without sin, guess what happens to your sin consciousness? The only power that sin has lies between our ears, in our carnal thinking.

The bread that Jesus brought sets man free from guilt and condemnation. In fact He went on to say in John chapter 6, “Your fathers, they ate that manna, and they are dead. But listen to me. If you eat the bread that I give you, you will never die.”But if you eat this bread, because this bread is the living, energizing Word of the living God that will enter into your being and quicken even your mortal body and bring you life without death.”

Rev 12:10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

A mistake we’ve made for years is thinking that Revelation is a book of the future. Revelation is a book about an inward journey. It says in the very beginning, the Revelation is an unveiling of Jesus Christ. Where is He? He is in us. So when you begin to have an understanding of the book of Revelation, you’ll realize that everything Revelation teaches you is something that’s happening internally. “For the accuser of our brethren, meaning the law is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.”

The accuser of the brethren is the law written on the outside of your hearts, and you trying to live under it, and falling under the guilt. That is your personal devil, if you like to have one. It is your belief system in the law that condemns you, that is your devil. The Law of Moses found everyone guilty before God.

Not one person today, even at this present moment, standing in this human consciousness can say that they are without sin. The law pronounces everyone guilty. And the law says that if you break one, you’ve broken them all. And we still have churches today keeping people under the bondage of the accuser of the brethren. They do so because they don’t know any better.

Ignorance is a killer. I’ve sat in churches for years feeling guilty and condemned, and my heart was right and I was sincere. “The accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.” That is the law written on a table of stone, because the law written on our heart is a light that is the expression of His life that is coming forth in us today. What a wonderful life!

Paul said in Romans 7, verse 7, 8, 11, “I had not known sin but by the law. - - - For without the law sin was dead. - - - For sin, taking occasion by the commandments deceived me and by it slew me.” Paul said here the law was a deception. You wonder why they killed Jesus? He taught these things. He said, “I know what your scriptures say, an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth, but I say unto you! You love your enemies. You do good to them who despitefully use you. You better turn away from that law an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.” That is one of the reasons they wanted to kill him. Because until the religious system Babylon, that great whore falls, we’ll never be satisfied because we want to see this magnificent revelation of the liberation of the sons of God. Isn’t that what Romans says? Romans says this: “All of creation waits for the manifestation of the sons of God.” You know what it doesn’t say? It doesn’t say that the sons of God are waiting for the manifestation. Yet how many today are waiting for the manifestation. Now I realize there is a fullness coming. But to wait for a manifestation, to wait for some day for God to

begin to manifest in you, there is no difference than waiting for a rapture. It is still a “waiting” mentality. Now is the day of salvation, if you can hear His voice. For without the law, sin was dead. Sin taking occasion by the commandments deceived me and it killed me. Jesus came to reveal the truth of our being. The law is written on our hearts and flows from our being.


Chapter 8

You know a lot of people are saying today that the church age is over. The early church was deceived two thousand years ago. What we’ve been calling, “the church age” for 2,000 years is simply Babylon, an area of confusion and misunderstandings and critical judgments and rules and regulations. The church is not man made doctrines and traditions.

The church is simply Christ revealed and manifested in a people. So how could we ever say the church is over? If you say the church is over, and I understand what you mean when you say that, but for the church to be over, Christ would have to be over, because the church is nothing less than Christ in you and Christ in me. The church age is not over, but the system of Babylon is beginning to fall.

I love what Paul said about the Colossians when he said, “The great mystery to the Gentiles” not to the believers, but “The mystery to the Gentiles is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” And he meant what he said. Christ in you is the hope of the unbeliever because the unbelievers have been told for so many years that they were alienated and separated from God, when the truth of that is the only place they’ve ever been separated from God is in their darkened mind and understanding.

And that is why Paul said, Ephesians 4:17: “This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, which is in them, due to the blindness or the hardness of their hearts.” He is talking to believers here. And he just spent three chapters telling them all the wonderful benefits they had received from God, how that they were chosen in God; they were predestinated in God; they were called even before the foundation of the world. And he said, “Now that you understand this, don’t be like the Gentiles, walking in the vanity of their fallen carnal mind, having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God due to ignorance. Thank the Lord we are beginning to wake up and realize the truth of Christ in us.

Linda Musgrove wrote and sings a song called “When I speak.” – not when the preacher speaks, not when the Pope speaks, but, “When I speak. Here are the words

When I speak all Heaven stands to listen. When I speak, His voice is heard in me.

And when I speak, the mountains they start moving for when I speak they are cast into the sea

When we stand under the anointing and in the power of the Spirit when we speak, all of Heaven stands to listen.” There is such a voice ringing throughout the earth today that even those in the other realms are gathering and rejoicing to hear such a word that is coming to deliver God’s people from a darkened mind and understanding, causing us to realize that we truly are His sons and daughters. It is not a theory anymore. It is not a doctrine anymore; it’s the reality of our life.

Why do we let differences in our understanding and differences in our doctrines divide us? Because we don’t understand the Heart of God. Paul said in Romans 8:6, “For to be carnally minded is death.” What does it mean to be carnally minded? It just simply means to think out of the reasoning mind”, or what we call, “the human consciousness”. To think out of that mind is nothing but death, no matter how much you love God, no matter how many times you go to church, no matter how many chapters you read, no matter how much you pray in tongues. If you are still thinking from a carnal human perspective, you are walking in death.

Paul so clearly told the Romans in verse 1 and 2 of chapter 12, “present your bodies a living sacrifice, and “be renewed in the spirit of your mind.” And then he said, “Let this mind be in you.” He didn’t say you had to pray for it, or reach for it, he said just let it be. Let it be! “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: who thought it not robbery to be equal with God.” I’ve had many prominent ministers come against us because we simply say what the scriptures say. Don’t think it is robbery to be equal with God.

I understand there are a lot of carnal Christians today running around saying, “I am God.” That is not what I am talking about, because whenever in your human carnal understanding you stand up and declare, “I am God”, that is the abomination of desolation. That is the carnal man sitting in this Temple declaring himself to be God. That is not what I’m talking about. I’m talking about when the veils of the flesh begin to be pulled back from our darkened mind and understanding, and we begin to function out of the mind of Christ; then we can say, “I am the manifestation of God on this earth. I am the light of this world. And when I speak, the darkness begins to flee, and the room fills with light.”

Oh my God, what a life. Religion has never ever produced a solution for the religious mind. We are always trying to somehow make ourselves better and more acceptable to God; and it’s just a waste of time. You will never be any more righteous; you will never be any more holy; you will never be any closer to God than you are right now! The only reason we don’t experience that is because of the darkened mind and understanding. We’ve had 2,000 years of religious teaching and we are still in Ephesians 4:17, with a darkened mind and understanding, being alienated from the very life and source of God that is in us because of the darkened mind and understanding.

Thank God the sun/Son is beginning to rise. Life in the Spirit is simply a personal leading of God in your spirit. It is so simple and it is so easy to walk in the reality of the Kingdom. Just begin to listen for the voice of God. Oh, it’s the most marvelous life that we have.

For years I tried everything I could possibly do to make myself holy. I never read less than 10 chapters a day, because I was told when I went into Pentecost, “Gary, you need to do a couple of things. You need to read 10 chapters a day and pray in tongues for an hour a day, your problems will be over.” I did that for 13 years, and my problems didn’t end.

We are always trying to save ourselves by what we do rather than by believing what Jesus did! Romans 5:10 says this For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

There is only one thing that will ever save anybody. And that is, “We shall be saved by His life.” Since we are saved by His life,” what can we do to make that happen? We simply need to believe it! If we could just believe some of the simple things that Jesus taught. You can learn so much today off of the Internet, but you cannot learn to be a manifestation of God on this earth. We must have a revelation that we are already a manifestation.

I’ll never forget; years ago I heard from the spirit, “You’ve been trying so hard to be something that you’ve always been. Stop trying and just be.” As you stop trying and you just be, you will experience what your heart is longing for.

Salvation really is just falling in love with Jesus. You say. “How can I do that? How can I really love Him?” Well, Paul says this: “The first man Adam was made a living soul.” You see; Adam wasn’t

created a living soul; Adam was created in Genesis chapter 1, in the very image and likeness of God. He was God’s manifestation. But that first man became a living soul. How did that happen? He fell in his understanding, and he began to live a life that was separated and alienated from God by learning to choose the good over the evil.

God said, “The very day that you eat from that Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, you will die.” So the first man that was created in the image and likeness of God was literally God in manifest form; he then became a living soul. But it says, “The last man Adam became a life giving spirit.” So how could we fall in love with Jesus? The same Spirit that motivated Him, the same Spirit that raised Him from among the dead is now dwelling and living and pulsating within a people.

The most beautiful essence of His substance is within you, and you can fall so in love with that presence. When you speak, all Heaven stands to listen, because you finally come into that understanding of who you are. The only thing that saves us from a life of what we call, “sin and separation” is the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus.

I used to say we are spiritual beings having a human experience. But I’ve come to realize that that is not quite the truth anymore, because our human experience is really a spiritual experience. We are just coming into an understanding that to be human is what God desires all along, and that the spiritual must become natural and the natural must become spiritual, so that we are so mingled and so mixed with God in consciousness that we no longer can separate the two.

Jesus said in John 3, “That which is born, flesh is flesh. That which is born of spirit is spirit.” 1st Corinthians 15:45, “And so it

is written, the first man Adam was made a living soul.” He wasn’t created a living a soul; he was made a living soul by the choices that he made. People talk a lot today about the dividing and the separating of soul and spirit. You really can’t divide the soul and the spirit except in illustration to say; if you are living in the soul, it simply means that you are living according to your carnal mind and understanding. But the soul and the spirit are really one. It’s just the fact that if you are a soulish being, you are living by a carnal understanding. However when you begin to turn and focus on the spiritual being that you are, then you become a spiritual being, living by the life of the Spirit of God within you.

“The last Adam was made a quickening spirit.” One day I read that and that just hit me, the last Adam. You think about that phrase, “the last Adam”. Now if that really means what it says, we’ve been lied to by religion for 2,000 years because on the cross, that was the last Adam. Adam represents that fallen soulish creature that is separated and alienated from God. And that is why religion has taught us that we’re born in sin and conceived in iniquity. If that scripture means what it says, that Jesus was the last Adam; that means that you were not born in sin and alienated from God. You just believed that because that is what you’ve been taught and that is your experience.

What you are is the incorruptible, indestructible seed of God that has been placed in the earth of this human existence. You have never been a sinner. You have never been separated and alienated from God except in your darkened understanding. There are no more “Adams”. Everyone that is born in this world as I stated earlier “The child is born, but the son is given.” Never forget that. You see; your mother had a child that is born a fleshly human being. But you weren’t born; you were given. The spirit was given. In John 20:22, Jesus, on His resurrection day, He just

appeared amongst His disciples and He breathed on them and said, “Receive ye the Holy Spirit.” When he breathed on them their spirit was quickened and they began to walk as a new creation man. Whatever Adam did that caused him to come into a human understanding, separated and alienated from God so that no longer could he walk in total union and oneness with God, was reversed in John 20:22 when Jesus breathed on them and simply said, “Receive ye the Holy Spirit.” That is what all of us experience when we experience what some call, “the new birth, being born again, being saved or being regenerated”.

How many Christians would say “I’ve been born again” if ask? They say yes I have been born again. How can we say we are born again but be so divisive, full of anger and bitterness? To be born again means just that. There is a new life that comes forth within you and overcomes all the negative things in our lives as we submit the leading of the spirit. It is not self-effort but it is becoming conscious of a new life within.

I think Peter, at least in this instance, had a better understanding. He said, “Ye are being born again, not of corruptible seed but of incorruptible, by the living and abiding word of God.” We are being born again. And Jesus said, “To be born again, you are like the wind. Nobody knows where it comes from. Nobody knows where it goes.” We are beginning to experience some of those things now, like just finding ourselves in places, when we don’t know how we got there. I’ve had people call me and tell me that I came to them and ministered to them, and I don’t even have any recollection of it. What we have all experienced up to this point is not being born again; we have experienced regeneration. Why does the scriptures use that term, “regeneration”? You cannot have regeneration unless at one time you were generated. Some people say, “I don’t believe in pre-existence. I don’t believe I was

with God from the foundation of the world.” And I say, “Well then, who were the sons of God that shouted for joy when they saw the creation?”

If we were not with God from the creation of the world why would you need to be regenerated?” We haven’t understood some of the simplest things. 1st Corinthians 6:17 says “He that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.” I was taught for years that I had a human spirit but it was not divine. That was before I understood I don’t only have a spirit I am a spirit. I am a spirit, not I have a spirit. He that is joined unto the Lord, he that has the regeneration experience, is one spirit.

There are not two spirits; there never will be two spirits. There is only one spirit. When you become conscious of that and you focus on the true nature of your being; that is when you can say, “When I speak, all Heaven stands to listen” because the magnificence of His glory is being revealed in a people. How did we miss it!? All we can say is that it just wasn’t the time. But this is the time. There have always been people down through the ages that have had this understanding.

We are born again by the Living and Abiding Word of God. As God speaks to you the word quickens you, energizes you and causes new desires within you. As God speaks you sense the unfathomable love for all creation. As God speaks you hear things like:

“I love you with an everlasting, unconditional love. I only see you as perfect because that is the way I brought you forth. I will remind you that as far as the east is from the west so far have I removed your transgressions. Awake from the dust of human thinking, arise and put on your beautiful garments of righteousness, peace and joy. Stop trying to be perfect as you

can be nothing else. Your perception of yourself as less than I have made you to be is but a lie. You are my hidden treasure soon to be manifested to the world. So arise and let your light shine so those you meet will in reality be meeting me. They are waiting for you so do not hide your light but let it shine with the magnificence of my presence.”


Chapter 9

I was told, “If you speak in tongues, you will be full of the Spirit.” Well I spoke in tongues for years and sure wasn’t full of the Spirit. The doctrines will never satisfy you no matter how good they are. But “he that is joined to the Lord is one spirit.” “God is spirit, and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.” I like to read it this way: “They that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in reality.” You can never find God in the mind. You can never find God by studying. You can learn a lot by study, but you will never find Him by searching for Him with the mind by going to Bible school or any other intellectual study only. Those things can be an inspiration to lead you to an understanding of God. But you will never understand God with the natural mind.

Paul said in Romans 7:22, “I delight in the law of God after the inward man.” Paul said in another place: “My outward man is perishing, but my inner man is renewed day by day.” That is what we want! I’ve prayed for years, “God, consume my carnality.” And people say, “Well you know if you are wicked, God is going to destroy you, and you know, the Old Testament

says that the wicked will be left neither root nor branch. And I say, “Oh God. Leave me not root or branch of that wicked thing that is between my ears.” “I delight in the law of God after the inward man”, but that outward man; I find that whenever I would do good, evil is present with me, and whenever I want to do right, that law of sin and death always pulls me down and defeats me.

I no longer look to my carnal mind to get better. I simply focus on the inner man knowing that as I do that I am strengthened in spirit which enables me to walk in spirit. I refuse to look at my experience if it does not line up with the truth, because if I look at my experience, I will always be dragged down into that law of sin and death. We simple believe as the scriptures so clearly teach that the outward man will perish, but the inward man will be renewed day by day. Romans 8:4 – Paul says, “The righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according the flesh, but according to the Spirit.” So when I talk about the law being our condemner, and the law being the accuser of the brethren, I’m not talking about the law of His life, because when we begin to focus on the true nature of our being, then we are able by the power of His Spirit that is in us, to fulfill all the righteous requirements of the law. Never would we want to become lawless. There are people today who still need the law because Paul said in one place the law was not written for the righteous but for the unrighteous. And if you are unrighteous, in your thinking you need a law. If you are a child in your understanding, you need a law. But there comes a time in your maturity when you grow up and you realize that that law on the outside of you can never save you; it can only condemn you. And then you discover that salvation all along has never been about what I can do; it is about the law of spirit of life in Christ Jesus that comes alive on the inside of me. Roman 8:16, “The Spirit Himself

bears witness with our spirit that we are the children of God.” Where do we get that witness? From our innermost being.

Anybody that has experienced regeneration, there is no way you can tell them they haven’t experienced God. That is the only way that you can really know the truth. You cannot know the truth because you hear me speak it. You cannot know the truth because you read what Jesus said in the Bible. You can only know the truth as it’s spoken to your inner being by the Spirit.

This verse used to really confuse me. Paul said in Galatians 5:16, “This I say then, walk in the spirit and you will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh.” I knew that was the truth, but how do I walk in the spirit? I knew that was my problem, but how do I do that? It is so easy; we stumble over it. It is so easy to walk in the spirit and know you are walking in the spirit because you can only do it one time in your life, and that is right now. It is so simple because right now, now is the day of salvation. Now, if you can believe it, you can experience all the Heavenly realms that there are. Right now you can be as John was on the isle of Patmos, and you can be taken into the spirit of Revelation and you can begin to have revealed to you the same things that John had revealed to him on the isle of Patmos. So much of the time we dwell on things in the past. If were not dwelling on the past then we are dwelling on what may happen in future. To walk in the spirit we must be focused on the present moment knowing that all things are ready and open to us in this present moment.

Many today are focused on spiritual warfare. Warfare is not about a devil on the outside of you warring against you. That is not the warfare. The warfare is right between our ears. That is why Paul said that “The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but they are mighty through God to the pulling down of

strongholds, casting down reasonings and imaginations and every high thought that comes against the knowledge of God.” That is our warfare.

Every thought that comes to you that would accuse you and make you think negative about yourself or anyone else. The only warfare that we need to conquer is the warfare in the battle of our mind. You know the great battles that religion tells us about in Revelation, all those battles of Armageddon and all those big monsters? That is all taking place right within us. The battle of Armageddon is the battle for your mind. There is nothing on the outside of you that is the problem. All the judgments and all of the things that come in the book of Revelation, all the seals that are broken and opened are the seals that are over you. And some of the trials and some of the tribulations and some of the hardships and some of the suffering; it is all to break those seals that are over your mind and over your throat and over your heart. The warfare is all about breaking the seals to release the powerful seed of His life that is within us.

The whole Bible from Genesis to Revelation is an unveiling of Christ within His holy temple (His People). We are both Cain (flesh) Able (Spirit.) We are Isaac (Spirit) Ishmael (flesh.) We are both Wheat (Spirit) Tare (Carnal) So the key is to walk in the spirit. How do we do that? Well as I said, the only time you can do it is now. Right now I can sing Thank you Jesus, I can begin to pray in the spirit, and I love to do that. But if I think about, “What am I going to do 10 minutes from now? I know probably 10 minutes from now I’m going to fall back into the flesh.”

You don’t think about what is going to happen 10 minutes from now, but right now, I can stand in His presence and I can be so grateful and I can say, “Father, I am so thankful to know that I am

a son of God. I am so thankful to know that I am simply a reproduction of Christ on this earth. I am the connection between heaven and earth. I am so thankful to know that we as a corporate man, we too are a pattern son. We are an expression of who you are.”

As I begin to live my life in fellowship and admiration and gratitude, I am walking in the spirit. If perhaps 10 minutes from now my mind gets the best of me again, and I fall into another habit or I do something, right now is the time to turn and say, “Father, I’m so thankful that you are not holding that against me. All it tells me is that Father, I’m not yet perfected. I still have habits; I still have things in my life that I’m not proud of. But I am so grateful to know that everything that I’ve ever done has been covered by your precious love.” It’s so easy to walk in the spirit.

Another way to experience walking in the spirit is this way: it says in John 1:17, “The law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus.” Take your pick. Which would you have, law, or grace and truth? It’s your choice. You can chose to put yourself under that bondage of trying to improve yourself, or you can simply learn to do as God does; receive yourself as you are now, and be perfectly relaxed in knowing that yes, this is the way I am now, but this is not going to be how I always am. I know that by the power of His Spirit in me, I will one day rise and defeat every enemy within me. It’s not about what I do; it is about trusting the spirit within me.

So the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth, I like that verse read this way: “The law came by Moses, but enjoyment and reality came by Jesus Christ.” A root word for grace is “enjoyment” and Truth means reality. I’ll tell you what; I learned this so many years ago. Enjoyment and reality came by Jesus

Christ. I have told people for years, simply learn to enjoy God. Grace and reality – enjoyment and reality – No matter what the issue, no matter what habit you have – If you can have a clear understanding that God is never angry with you no matter what you do; God has a heart that is always longing for all of His creation to be delivered from the bondage of corruption. He never holds an angry thought, or He never has anything to do to you except to love you and to bless you. If you have that understanding, then no matter how bad you are; you can at least learn to appreciate the gift of God, which is to save you by His life. The gift of God was to become flesh, and then to reveal to you your true nature and the love of your Father. If you want to know what God is like, just watch and listen to what Jesus did and said.

I discovered in my weakest moments, sometimes when I would fail tremendously; I discovered in that condition, how to turn to the spirit within, not the spirit without. But I began to discover there was such a preciousness of His Spirit within, and that no matter how many times I fell into various habits; I simply learned to turn to the Spirit within and begin to appreciate the fact that God loved me regardless, and if I never was able to change my life, God would love me no less. When you understand that God is only there to encourage you, to bless you and to love you; that gives you the faith, as Hebrews says, “The boldness to enter into the presence of God to find the grace to help in the time of your need.”

The religious system would have you think that when you fall into adultery or that you fall into a drunken stupor, or that any number of things should happen, that religion would have you think that God is disappointed with you; God is angry with you, and you will face a severe judgment. God doesn’t judge us in that way. In fact it says in the Old Testament, Jer 2:19 Thine own

wickedness shall correct thee, and thy backslidings shall reprove thee.

When something bad happens to you, it’s not God punishing you, because there is still in operation a law that is called, “sowing and reaping”. If you sow to the flesh, believe me; you are going to reap corruption. But it has nothing to do with how God feels towards you. It has nothing to do with God turning His back on you. It has nothing to do with keeping you out of the very presence and awesomeness of God unless you believe it does, unless you believe the preachers that will tell you that sin separates you and alienates you from God. It does not! The thing that separates you and alienates you from God is your belief in what they tell you about separation.


Chapter 10

All we have to do in the slightest way in our weakest moment is begin to turn to the Spirit within and begin to fellowship and begin to speak to our Father, and learn to appreciate the enjoyment that He brings to us. How do we become filled in spirit? Jesus said in John 6:57, “As the living Father has sent me, and I live by the Father; so he that eats me, even he shall live by me.” It’s that simple folks. We know in the natural we become what we eat. If we live on junk food, eventually our bodies will break down because of the way we eat. But Jesus said if you really want to live, “As the living Father has sent me, I live by the Father, so ye that eats me, even he shall live by me.”

We need to learn in our darkest hours how to eat Jesus. Now you all know the story. Some of the people left Him because they thought He was talking about cannibalism. But He said, “Eat my

flesh. If you want to live by the Spirit of God, you must eat my flesh.” What is that? The word became flesh. So if you want to live by God, you eat the word, not the Bible, but the words that God speaks to you. God has spoken many things to us in our lifetime. And we need to learn to eat and to feast on that which we know to be the truth. Now scripture can become the word that you eat, but not by the dead letter, it has to be the living, vibrating, energizing, quickening word as you read it. As you feast on that, you will become like Him. You will find the most awesome, the most magnificent love that you have for all of creation. You can look at any human, you can look in any circumstance, it makes no difference. You will find such an overwhelming love coming out of your innermost being that will change people around you.

Living a spiritual life is not about works. It’s about being a manifestation of God on this earth. I love what Stacy Wood shared with me a few years ago. He said, you can go down to the ocean and take a cup and scoop out the water. And in that water is everything that the ocean is, all of the elements and the minerals and the salt. Everything of the ocean is in that cup, but that cup is not all of the ocean.

Everything that God is, all of His wonderful attributes, the wonderful expression that He is, all the loveliness is in me, but I’m not all of God. I love what Paul told the Ephesians. This is Amplified translation, but He said, “The church is the fullness of Him who fills everything, everywhere with Himself.” You see, that is the true expression of the church. And that is why I say the church age isn’t over. The religious age is over, but the church is just beginning to stand up in all of her beauty and glory. A people being raised up in the consciousness of God; we have no

Condemning judgment, we refuses to look on one another according to the flesh.

Today we understand that all men are spiritual beings. All men have been lowered into this flesh realm, and have lost their way, have lost their understanding of where they came from and who they are. So we hold aught against no man. We have no wrongful judgment against any man.

John 4:13, “Whosoever drinks of this water shall thirst again: but whosoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst.”

I used to read that and say, “Oh my God!” I was always hungry and thirsty after God. I was never satisfied. I never found the reality that I was searching for. I would read scriptures like “I am come that you might have life, and that you might have it more abundantly.” And I’d ask, “God, where is it?” Because I thought the life abundant was in my performance, and because I wasn’t performing as a good Christian, then I couldn’t believe these things were so for me. I thought that for these things to be so I had to correct my outward condition. And that is what keeps us in darkness.

“Out of our innermost being flows that living water.” It’s not on the outside of us. We have created our life today the way we are.” God didn’t do it. We have created our experience today. In the past we’ve done that by default because we have not known the truth of our being. What I mean by that is, we have unconsciously created our condition. I didn’t consciously create a body of sickness and disease. We have been unconscious creators. We have believed the lies that we’ve been taught. We’ve believed all the divisive things that we’ve been taught. But now we are having an awakening to know we have the mind of

Christ, and we’re letting this mind function in us and we are refusing to think about the negative thoughts.

We are refusing be anxious about where our next meal is coming from when our boss gives us the last paycheck. We are refusing to accept the circumstances that we may be in now because we know the truth. And because we know the truth and we understand that we are now operating out of the mind of Christ, we are becoming a conscious creator, which simply means that if you don’t like circumstances, you have the power to change them. And we are just learning this understanding. And we’re not going to change overnight, but we are changing. Death and life are in the power of our tongue. You may not believe it, and you don’t believe it or you wouldn’t be speaking the way you do. I’m talking to myself when I say, “I”. I’m not pointing fingers. But you see; we are learning to control our tongue. We are learning not to speak negative thoughts but speak life, light and love to ourselves and everyone else.

We have had the “Word of Faith” movement for years trying to teach us the power of the tongue, and most of us just took it with a carnal understanding and started believing and confessing for cars and houses and material things. I understand the carnal mind, what it does with truth. However it does not make it any less true. We can become conscious creators rather than unconscious creators, because if we don’t consciously begin to create, we will always create by default.

What do I mean by that? Whenever you continually talk about what you don’t want you will create more of what you do not want. You may say, “This doesn’t sound like what Jesus taught, but He certainly did. Kenneth Hagin’s famous verse to quote was, Mark 11:23. “Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou

removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he says come to pass; he shall have anything he says.” For years I used to say I will never be able to quit this habit, or I will never be able to live the Christian life and so I created a life that could not do what I wanted to do.

What changed me is one day as I was confessing my sins as I did every day and winning over my inability to live Godly, I felt God say “STOP IT. You believe the word in your heart but you are always confessing the opposite. Start speaking what you believe in your heart instead of what your carnal mind is telling you.” My life began to change when I started to talk and confess what I believed to be the truth. Death and Life truly are in the power of your tongue.

I began to reject those negative thoughts and those feelings of inadequacies. There was a time when in a church meeting, that I was asked to stand and testify to the congregation. I left the church and never went back because there is no way I could stand before people and say anything. I was such an introvert and so scared and so frightened. So I know by experience, you don’t have to stay the way you are. Because of knowing the truth today of my true being I can stand and speak before thousands with no feelings of inferiority.

We just need to take the time to eat Him, to drink Him, to experience His inner life, and it begins to strengthen and energize us by the power of His Spirit. The only thing we need to do is to learn to live by Christ. It’s the simplest thing you will ever do, and also the hardest. Why – because we are dealing with the carnal mind. I mean, how could we ever think that we could be as Jesus on this earth? Your mind will never let you believe that. You have

to experience it to believe it. But you can begin to reject those thoughts that tell you that you can’t, and you can begin again to change the way you see yourself. One of the most life changing experiences we will ever have is when we begin to have a grateful heart. You know, all of us are subject to look at our conditions. The more we think about our condition, and the more we meditate about how it’s not working, the worse it’s going to get because you are creating by your thinking and your speaking. Let’s begin our day by being grateful and focusing on the positive things.

A lot of people don’t like this word at all, because they say, “Well this is New Age stuff.” Well maybe new age people have some truth. Just maybe they do! I first began to speak publicly in 1982. And from the very first weekend that I began to speak, I began by teaching a series I called, “Living by the Life of God.” It was my first message that I ever spoke and was sharing with folks how to live by His life in you. And from that very first series of tapes that I did, I was called a New Age teacher, because the religious mind will always classify something it doesn’t understand as false teaching.

Chapter 11

I am so grateful for the unveiling that is taking place today among God’s people. We are a blessed people to experience the preciousness of the spirit within each of us. “The church is the fullness of Him who fills everything, everywhere with Himself.” Eph 1:23

God’s eternal Purpose is not like I thought it was for so many years, to just raise up a bunch of religious people. The purpose is to raise up a people who would express His life and His loveliness on the earth. We know now that even the quantum physicist tells us that all things have their beginning in one source. Of course, we call that source, “God”. Some people just call it, “source” or “light” or “love”, which all means the same thing.

God is love, and when we really have that revelation and understanding that God is love, and when we experience the depth of that love we become love personified.

We really have two choices of what kind of a life we are going to live and the choice we make will determine what we express. We can either live out of a carnal mind, whether it be religious or not, or make the choice to really go before the Lord and open our hearts to really have Him unveil us to the truth of what we’ve read for so many years in scripture. We sing about it. We talk about it, and today it is time to be it.

I see God’s people all over the earth beginning to awaken to the truth of being a manifestation of God on this earth. Carol and I are so blessed because we get to travel extensively. And everywhere we go we see people who are beginning to wake up. I don’t think any of us are any further ahead than anybody else, because this is a corporate experience we are entering into. We all have different gifts and functions, but we are all on the journey to live in the good land of our spirit. It is not that any of us have anything above anybody else; but we have certain giftings and certain functions. And that is what the body is all about. You know, Paul said so many years ago, if we were all the mouth or we were all the ear we would not have a complete body. It takes all of us to manifest God on the earth.

We are learning to appreciate all the different parts and functions of the body. God’s body is a functioning, living, vibrating organism. God’s intention was never for a bunch of people to come and just listen to one man give a message. That is not the purpose. But at the same time, it’s very necessary for people who are just coming into the understanding and the awareness that

we are coming into, it’s very important for men to speak a word to bring clarity and understanding to the new ones.

Those of us who have been in this message for a few years, for us to have to come week after week, and Sunday after Sunday and just sit and listen to somebody else with no functioning of the Body, there is something wrong with that picture. I know how difficult it is if you are a shy and introverted person. I was so shy and introverted that I actually left churches and wouldn’t go back if I thought they were going to call on me to stand up and pray or to give a testimony.

God’s purpose is to have a functioning, living organism. For years I couldn’t even stand up and give a testimony. So I know how difficult it is. But I also know the power and the ability that is in us. I knew for years I couldn’t do anything, I couldn’t stand up and give a testimony. I couldn’t witness on the streets. I couldn’t do anything. I knew that. What I didn’t know is that within me was the ability and the substance to do anything! And that is the difference between us and what Jesus realized, because He too said, “I of my own self can do nothing”, but yet look at what He did!

I knew for years I couldn’t do anything, but I still kept trying, and that is why I say we have to have a shift in our focus about our true nature and identity, because as long as we realize we can’t do anything, and keep trying, we’ll always be a failure. If we stop trying, and just simply sit in the quiet, open our hearts and say, “God, what about this? What about what you said in your scriptures? What about the commission you gave to your disciples to raise the dead and heal the sick?”

I’m not saying we should go do those things, because you can try it, but you will fail. But if He tells you to do anything you will not

fail. I’ve laid hands on people, and literally seen them fly like a bullet across the room. You think I could do that? None of us have the ability to make things happen. And we need to stop trying to make it happen. The key to working the works of God is to hear him speak to you.

The way into a holy consecrated life of expressing all that is in you is simply learn to enjoy God. It takes no special ability; it does not take a special person; it doesn’t take anything but willingness and openness to spend time in the presence of God until He begins to speak to you. Most of us don’t have the patience for that.

In our minds we still operate out of this carnal nature, and in that nature all of us feel like individuals separated from one another and alone. We are all trying within our own beings, our own selves, to incorporate what we’ve learned, into our lives, and it doesn’t work that way! It’s not bad that we try, but once we are unveiled to the mind of Christ, once the Spirit of the living God begins to illuminate our inner being, we realize we are never alone, and we have never been alone. There is never a second or never a moment that we can’t turn to the Spirit within our very own being and begin to release the flow of His life.

The only thing that will bring us into conformity to His will is the inner life, the inner anointing, and the energizing power of His Spirit within us. It’s the only thing that will cause us to walk a righteous life. Nothing else will work. All of us have the same life and nature within us. In reality, as we’ve shared, and I know you know this, there is only one life in this whole universe, and all of us have full access to that life within us. It is so important that we change our focus from a God outside of us to the spirit within us. God is everywhere. I would not limit God to my physical being. However the only place in reality that you’ll find God is within

yourself. If you don’t find that reality within yourself, how could you ever walk in the Kingdom experientially?

God is love, light, energy, source, consciousness, spirit and word. There are so many different descriptions for God. Most of them are better than the word, “God”, because the word, “God” today, most of the time when you mention, “God”, it puts people’s minds in a place where it shouldn’t go because of what religion has done to that word. Most people today, if you say, “God”, they have an image of God in their minds. That image for most Christians is a fearful thing, because “God loves you, but if you don’t live according to the law, you don’t live according to God’s standards, oh He loves you but you may end up in a torture chamber.”

If I say to you, “source” or “light” that is really hard to get a definitive description of, except you know light is light; it is energizing; it’s quickening. Light dispels the darkness. We know Jesus said “I am the light”, but then He told His disciples, “You are the light of the world.”

The key for us to walk in the kingdom now is for us is to learn how to contact the inner life of our spirit. Years ago I used to share an illustration about the impartiality of God. If you want to be energized with electricity, you could uncap a light socket and grab a hold of that bare wire, and you will find out electricity is impartial. If you touch it, it is going to get into you. We have an energizing life force in the center of our being. That life force does not care anything about your good or evil. You could be the worst person on the face of this earth. But if you learned to turn and touch that energy force on the inside of you, every time that you touch it, it releases God’s essence from your being. The more you learn to turn and touch God in reality, that energizing life

force on the inside of you, the more it will infiltrate into your system.

If you grab a bare wire it doesn’t care how you lived your life today; it is going to get in you. And in that sense, God is just as impartial as an electrical wire. If you touch the spirit of life within you, life will flow from your inner being and you will be transformed.

For so long in the church system we weren’t taught anything about an inner life. It was all about reaching for God outside of you in the Heavens. Well that is really truth, but the Heavens aren’t somewhere outside of you. And that is why Paul could say to the Ephesians “Even when we were dead in trespasses and sins, He made us alive and raised us up together and seated us together in Heavenly places.” Heavenly place is a conscious awareness of Christ in you living and functioning from the realm of spirit. We are all seated with Christ in those heavenly places but most are not aware of it.

When did that happen? It certainly wasn’t when you went to an altar, or you said “Jesus I receive you.” This is the magnificent message of the cross that even when you were walking around as a dead man in trespasses and sins and had no concept or knowledge of God whatsoever; even when you were dead in trespasses and sins, you were raised out of that life of death and seated in Heavenly places.

We keep trying to reach God somewhere else, when we are seated with Him, right now, in Heavenly places. Jesus said something that for a long time was a mystery to me, but I understand it now. When He was talking to Nicodemus He said, “No man has ascended up to Heaven except He that came down from Heaven, even the Son of man, which is in Heaven.” Well

that didn’t make any sense. Now was He on earth or was He in Heaven? But He was both. And we can say the same thing. No man can ascend to Heaven except He came down from Heaven. That is why I say it is so important for us to understand that we did not begin with a sperm and an egg.

Our beginnings were in Genesis chapter 1! That is where we all began. Our bodies came from a sperm and an egg, but remember the child was born but the son was given. So within our very own being is everything that we could possibly ever need. Within you is the counselor. Remember what Jesus said? “It is so important that I go away because if I go away, the counselor will come.” He also said “When He, the spirit of truth, is come He will teach you of all things.”

How many of us, speaking in general terms across the Christian world, how many are taught by the Spirit? When He, the spirit of truth, when He comes, when that candle, that spirit, the light of God within you is quickened and regenerated, you have a counselor that will never steer you wrong. I have a message that I gave a few years ago called, “God’s Infallible Guidance System.” (Click Here to hear this message).

You see, when you really begin to function out of your own anointing, and you begin to seek counsel, not from another but listen to the spirit within you will be led by the spirit.

We’ve had many great spiritual writers in the past who have told us, every one of them, “Do not lean on the arm of flesh. Do not go to flesh for your answers.” If you feel that God wants you to do something, don’t go to the arm of flesh to find it out or get a confirmation. You do need to be clear, but you need to get that clarity from within your own being. And I understand; this message is so hard for the religious mind. But within you is the

wisdom. Christ is made unto you wisdom and righteousness and sanctification and redemption.


Chapter 12

Rom 8:29-30. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

“Whom He foreknew, He predestinated to be conformed to the image of His Son.” So did He foreknow you? Is there any way He couldn’t have foreknown you? This scripture is not for a select few. It really bothers me when I hear a message about a select few. Now there is such a thing, as what we call, “the first fruits.” But see, that simply means that there are a group of people on this earth who are taking the time they need to nourish and to take in spiritual food, and they will become ripe before the others. If you want to live a slothful lazy lackadaisical life, you can do that. And you can go to church every Sunday and hear nice messages and maybe feel a little bit of good. But you will never understand the words of Jesus. If you take the time to listen, within you is the voice that will guide you and it will never lie to you.

I know when you are learning to listen to this voice you make mistakes. There will be things that you’ll think, this is really God telling me this, and you’ll find out later it isn’t. But that’s OK because the only thing that’s really important is your heart. If you are seeking God and you really want to do His will, and you think you are hearing right, and you make a mistake; that is OK, because we have to learn.

Experience is always our best teacher. You can learn to discern that voice so clearly that you will do anything, even though it seems foolish. Carol and I have left everything and moved to a place where we didn’t know anybody. When we moved to Winston-Salem, we knew one person there. We didn’t know how to get to the grocery store. We didn’t know where to go shopping. Why would we do that? Because we started feeling that God wanted us to move. Something was going on; something was moving within us that we needed to move. And I didn’t say anything for a long time because I didn’t know how Carol would react to moving again. However I just kept getting

stronger and stronger feelings we would be moving. I didn’t want to leave Seattle. We said we would never leave Seattle. We love it there. And we still love it there. Our dearest friends are in Seattle. But I just felt so strongly we should move.

One day Carol said, “I really feel we are supposed to move again. She was in full agreement because she had been feeling the same thing. I didn’t know where we were supposed to move but Carol said, “I know where we are supposed to move. We are supposed to move to North Carolina.” These things don’t make sense. And I said to her, “Why in the world would you say North Carolina? You have never been there.” That is the natural mind kicking in. We all have to deal with that. And you know what? Even if that had of been a mistake, if we’d have moved to North Carolina and it had been a mistake, God would honor it just as much as if He did tell us to do it, because it was in our hearts to do what was right. So don’t fear missing God. The Counselor (Holy Spirit) has been there all the time. All the wisdom of God has been in us all the time. Yet we still keep seeking it outside of ourselves, still keep trying to find the man who can minister to us, still keep trying to find the prophet to give us a word.

We were known before we were born. Jer 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

Rom 8:30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified

Not only were we foreknown we were predestinated. I have shared many times over the years how a seed is predestinated to produce whatever it is. A seed of corn is predestinated to

reproduce the corn kingdom. The seed of God (our true nature) which was planted in our earth (body) at birth is predestinated to reproduce the life, nature and character of God on this earth. However as we came through the birth canal we awoke in a physical dimension and forgot who we were and where we came from.

When we are regenerated a new conscious awareness is birthed in us and we begin the ascension process of rising from a carnal, fleshy consciousness to a Christ consciousness. We then set out to find the right church where we can get the right spiritual nourishment to cause the seed in us to grow. What happens to most of us is we get into a religious environment where we are taught beliefs and doctrines that cause us to get into a performance based Christianity which puts us under the law of works trying to justify ourselves by what we do rather than by what Christ has done.

When you plant a seed in the ground you would not think of teaching that seed how to grow. You know that as you plant it in good soil and water it, the heat from the sun will put pressure on the seed to break the outer shell so that the seed will come forth into maturity. Your outer man is the shell of the seed. 2 Cor 4:16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. The pressures of life we go through will break the outer man and release the inner man (the seed) to come forth.

Instead of teaching us how we should act and what we can and cannot do we need to be taught the truth of our being. We are not sinners and never have been. We have done many wrong things but that does not change the truth of our being. We are

sons and daughters of God and as we spend time focusing on the truth we are transformed.

2 Cor 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass (Mirror) the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

As you meditate in the scriptures on the life of Jesus you are looking into a mirror. That is who you are. The more you behold him the more you will become like him. The more we meditate on the truth of being foreknown by God and predestinated to be his expression on the earth the more we will be changed into his image.

Let us rejoice knowing that we are beginning to truly live an abundant life as we focus on the truth. Cast down the negative thoughts and arise in the power of an endless life. Soon we are going to come into a great change in our world and see the kingdom be established all over the earth.

Not only are we foreknown and predestinated we are also called, justified and glorified. Rom 8:30. We are beginning to wake up to the truth of our being. In the beginning God brought forth a Son, and I never knew till just recent times that the son that He brought forth was a corporate son, and that we were all there in the beginning rejoicing as the sons of God seeing what God was accomplishing and going to accomplish on the earth. Job 38:7. When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy.

Most of us have been caught up in religion. Our teachers did not know the truth but they did the best they knew how. If they would have revealed to us the truth of our being that we were literally sons of God, manifestations of our Father, and we

incarnated in this physical realm to reveal and to manifest the glory of God in creation we would have matured spiritually much sooner.

Our first death was being lowered into this physical realm. Our first resurrection was the quickening of that consciousness of having another life in our being. We began to have a desire for righteousness and holiness not knowing we already were righteous and holy, we tried to become what we already were in reality but did not know it.

We have been called. 2 Tim 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

This scripture tells us we were called and given all that we need to reproduce Christ on this earth even before the world began. This calling is not because of our works but by his purpose and grace. This was all predestinated in the seed. When we have this revelation we cease from our own works and enter into his rest.

Heb 4:3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. Heb 4:10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.

This is the way to make our calling sure. We simply have a revelation that the works were finished and we believe the truth of our being and we can rest in the finished work knowing that as we continue in the faith and seeking truth he that hath called us will finish the work in us.

Heb 4:6 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in

because of unbelief. Remember we were chosen in him before the foundation of the world, called and predestinated to manifest the abundant life to the world. The people that believe this are the most peaceful and content people on the earth.

God’s eternal purpose is to incarnate in humanity and become a voice in the earth, to become a living expression of love in the flesh. If we were taught that in the beginning of our spiritual walk we would mature much faster. Most of us were taught to obey God through fear of being rejected by him and perhaps thrown into an eternal torture chamber.

In 1969 soon after I was regenerated I went to church and the pastor spoke on John 15 and put a fear in me. John 15:6. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. At that time I had no idea how to abide in him. The preacher had the whole church trembling. He said to abide in Christ was through obedience and if we did not obey we would be sent to hell and burn for all eternity. He further had an alter call to receive Jesus telling us the same thing. God loves you and sent his son to save you but if you do not come to the alter and say Jesus I receive you, you may die tonight and wake up in the eternal fire of God’s wrath.

Once you start trying to obey through fear you lose sight of God’s unconditional love and acceptance. Because before the law, all flesh stands guilty before God. The moment you try to obey the law in an outward way you feel guilt because carnal man cannot keep the law. The law is holy, righteous and good. But that law is not something we try to keep in an outward way by putting rules on a wall, or in the State Department, or whatever. That is not the kind of law that we live by.

The law that we live by is a life-law of the Spirit of God that flows from the very depths of our being. So if a man abides not, and he is cast forth as a branch, he is withered. Men gather them and cast them into the fire and they are burned. Let me tell you a religious story that I was told.

God created man because He was lonely and He wanted fellowship, so He created man in His image. In the creation of man He gave him a free will because God didn’t want a bunch of robots. He wanted people who would willingly love and serve Him. And that is why He gave you a free will so you could freely choose to serve Him or not. But if you don’t choose Him, He has got a torture chamber set up for you. Didn’t you all hear that religiously? He gave you a free will so you could choose to spend eternity in an agonizing, endless torture chamber in fire that would literally burn your flesh and you would cry out in agonizing pain forever and ever. He gave you the free choice to do that. How can people really, really love and serve God if they believe that? I know that they can love God but they do not know the intimate love of a Father towards his children.

I do know they can love God, but they don’t know God. Can you love somebody you don’t know? Oh, absolutely. Men and women love each other all the time and get married and then when they get to know each other it is not always a pleasant experience. David is a man who loved God with all of his heart. In fact, the scriptures say that David was a man after God’s own heart. But David was continually a man of war and destruction. He would stand and pray that God would kill his enemies. So David really didn’t have a clear understanding of God. You can love God with all your heart, and yet still not really know Him. But when you really have an unveiling of His unconditional love, you then can put all of these kinds of verses that I just read to you in a

proper perspective because they are true. You see, if a man abides not in me, he is cast forth as a branch. Men gather them and cast them into the fire.

Now we know that the fire is not a negative thing; it is a very positive thing. The very word, “fire” comes from the word, “pur” which means, “purify”. When I turn my back or I get into whatever I shouldn’t get into, I’ve experienced the fire, and so have you. But you know what I used to call the fire? I used to call it the devil! “Oh, the devil is out to get me.” No, he is not out to get you. You are just experiencing the fire. You are just reaping some of that flesh you’ve sown into for a while. That is all it is. The fire of God will burn up everything in your being that is not of the spirit. The fire of God is a cleansing agent and will purify your being.

Some folks get really upset when they hear that everyone will eventually be reconciled to our Father. However when we really understand God’s unconditional love and acceptance and understand his character we see the scriptures in the true light.

So many point out the Old testament scriptures like, Mal 4:1For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

If you really see God’s unconditional love, you can go through those Old Testament scriptures and you can rightly divide the word of truth because I guarantee you that all the wickedness in us will be burnt up. Everything in our being that is not according to His life and nature is going to go through the fire. That is why Paul instructed in 1 Cor 5: To deliver such an one unto Satan for

the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

There is not a person on the face of this earth who is lost, except between their ears. That is why we need to be renewed in the spirit of our minds. It is a fearful thing when you are going through the fire and some of the corrective judgments. But if you understand God’s character and nature, it will help you to turn and repent and seek God to get you out of there. But if you think God is punishing you, and He is angry with you, you don’t really even have the strength or the faith to go to Him to find the grace to help in the time of need.

Jesus said, “If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, you can ask what you will and it will be done to you. For herein is my Father glorified that you bear much fruit; so shall you be my disciples.” I was told to bear fruit I had to go out and witness and win souls and get them born again. Remember what I shared about my shyness and being an introvert? The preacher was telling me that if I don’t go out and win souls, I’m going to Hell. He said if I did not get over my shyness and witness for Jesus he would deny me before his father. I didn’t know what to do, because I thought, “I can’t do it! I can’t go out and talk to people.” Thank God we are getting to understand God as our father not one who is looking to punish us for our sin.

Chapter 13

I’m sure you’ve all heard the talk the last few years about a finished work. Some are divided and arguing and divisive over whether or not we are finished. I like what Bob Torango says. Bob says, “if I’m a finished work; I need my money back.” It is true that the work is finished, because the scriptures say the work was finished from the foundation of the world. And Paul said, “You are complete in Him, who is the Head of all principalities and

power. Now, there are many people in different groups who have taken this Word and they have said “I’m a finished work. I don’t need anything else. I am finished.”

There is finished work, but it is in Christ. Your spirit, the real “you”, deep down on the inside of you, your spirit, is the most beautiful, magnificent person that is completed, and it is full, and it is filling all things. I want what is in my spirit to be worked into every area of my life. Everything is wonderful in the spirit, but we still are walking around with these carnal minds, and all of this confusion and even arguing about whether we are finished or not. Who cares what you think!

We had a conference at our place a few years ago. And one of the preachers was talking about this subject, how that we are finished in spirit but we are not in the flesh. And that is so true with so many spiritual truths. There is a balance in all things. We are finished, but we are not. Both true! But this preacher, he was trying to get people to realize that, you know, you need to continue until all of the truth that you know in your head is worked into you, and you become that which you are, finished!

The finished work needs to be worked into every area, every fiber, every cell and especially, your mind needs to be renewed by that finished work.” So, so many talk about a finished work, but not too many talk about transformation. We haven’t really understood that we can be transformed totally into His image and likeness. That is why Paul said 2 Cor 4:16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

What we do does not make us holy. I have been in churches where I’d be condemned as a man, for wearing short sleeves. The women were taught that holiness was to wear long dresses and

could go to hell for wearing pants. Women were not allowed to cut their hair. Religion always bases your relationship with God on your performance. The children and teenagers were not allowed to play cards or certain games. They could not go to school dances or movies. Most of them leave their religions when they grow enough to make their own decisions. Very few people in this kind of religion have a real relationship with the spirit because they never feel good enough or holy enough to be received by him.

I wrote earlier that God foreknew us and predestined, called, justified and glorified us before we were born. Also Jer 1:5 Before I formed you in the belly I knew you; and before you came forth out of the womb I sanctified you, and I ordained you a prophet unto the nations.

We are born holy and righteous but through being birthed in this physical realm we have the veil of flesh over us and have forgotten who we are. We then accepted the lie that we are just humans and sinners separated from our creator. Once the veils begin to be removed we realize we are magnificent, glorious beings who came to this world to manifest the love of God.

People have mistaken signs and wonders for spirituality. You can be very gifted with a healing ministry or any other gift and still not be very spiritual. If you go after anything but the life of God within you, you may get what you are looking for and still miss the Kingdom. Yet you may never be gifted in that sense. You may never experience laying hands on somebody and seeing them healed. But if you become one who experientially walks in the Kingdom of God, you will find that at times you will walk in a room and people will be healed, and they won’t realize it is coming from you. In this era, in this day, there will be no flesh get the glory for what God is doing. I have longed for years for this day.

Paul said this in Ephesians chapter 4, “That you put off concerning the former manner of living, the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; and be renewed in the spirit of your mind And that you put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.”

We need to put on that new man, that new nature that is on the inside of us. This is so important. He is telling us here to put off that old man, put of the old way of thinking and put on the new man. And then he tells you how to do it.

“Wherefore put away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbor: for we are members one of another.” It is that simple to put off the old and put on the new. And I struggled for years trying to figure out how to do that. You simply put on the new by speaking the truth. Yet what most of us heard in the churches were lies. “You old dirty sinner, you.” We must speak the truth of what God says about us.

We went to a church one time where there was a young boy. And he was always the first one at the altar. You could tell this boy had such a love for God. He’d always be at the altar praying and crying. And as he grew older, one day he went to his parents and he said, “I have got to tell you something. I can’t deal with it anymore.” He said, “I’m a homosexual.” And you know what they did? They threw him out of the family. They wouldn’t let him come home for Christmas, when he called and he wanted to come home for Christmas to see the family. “Son, as long as you are living that life style, you can’t come into this house.” That is what religion has done to us.

We have not realized the value, the most precious, precious essence of God that lies dormant in most of creation. It’s only by speaking the truth to one another that we put off the old. You

know, I learned to do this experientially as I began to say, “I’m not a smoker or I’m not, whatever.” I learned to do that, and found that the very words of my mouth As it says in the scriptures, “Life death and are in the power of the tongue.” Paul said in another place, “This mortal must put on immortality. And this corruptible must put on incorruption.” Well now that we understand that within the deepest recesses of our being, in the true person that we are, we are an incorruptible being. So how do we put that on? By speaking the truth. I’m not anything, in reality, less than what God is. Oh, I may not be expressing it much. I may have a lot of faults and hang-ups yet that are visible. But I know the truth. I know the truth that in me is the incorruptible, indestructible, living, vibrating and energizing Spirit of God. And the more I speak that, the more that becomes my experience. After 13 years of trying, I walked out of that place. I just woke up one day, July 11, 1982; I woke up a new creation man after years of struggling and heartache and crying and begging God to change me.

Because of my constant seeking, learning how to enjoy God, learning how to come out from underneath the guilt and condemnation, learning how to not feel guilty no matter what I did. I knew that the only hope I had was that Christ, by the power of His Spirit within me, would come alive to deliver me from the power of sin and death.

This is the beginning of a new life within.
