1. Chosen People (KJV)

The following scriptures address this term.

Deu 7:6 For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen

thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.

Deu 7:7 The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people:

Deu 7:8 But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

Deu 7:9 Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;

Deu 14:2 For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.

2Ch 6:6 But I have chosen Jerusalem, that my name might be there; and have chosen David to be over my people Israel.

Psa 33:12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

Psa 105:42 For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant.

Psa 105:43 And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness:

Psa 105:44 And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people;

Psa 105:45 That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the LORD.

Isa 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

Isa 43:20 The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen.

Isa 43:21 This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.

1Pe 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

1Pe 2:10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not

obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

Initially the chosen people were the Nation of Israel as they were formed in being led out of

Egypt and baptized through the parted sea and given the covenant at Mount Sinai. This also

included any sojourners that attached themselves to the Israelites along the way. These were a

Holy people of the Lord, a Nation that was expected to set an example for the other Nations all

around.

Later after Yeshua was rejected by the Sanhedrin the invitation was sent by the Jews that

followed Yeshua to take the message to the Gentile Nations in order that they too could join to

become the chosen people, consisting of all those that accepted, followed and obeyed Jesus

(Yeshua). Note that after the new covenant was established the New Holy Nation consists of all

people, Israelite or Gentile, all that accept Yeshua as their Messiah and follow and obey what He

told us and showed us by His example. All these are now part of the commonwealth of a New

Nation, where there is neither Jew or Greek, bond or free, male or female in terms of being saved.

These now are select or chosen people that comprise the commonwealth. They have been grafted

into the olive tree and the root of the olive tree are the patriarchs. Both believing Israelites and

Gentiles are those that are grafted into this tree, those believing and following Yeshua as their

Messiah.

In Other Bibles – saints ; faithful ones, holy ones, godly ones, kind ones, set-apart ones, God’s

people

The saints in 99% of the scriptures above refer to special people who followed the Lord in

the manner that He requires, which includes growing in love to all and having a heart that reflects

the characteristics of God Himself. The main definition of the Saints is in Rev 14:12 above. They

walk forward in patience or endurance in not wavering or complaining, they keep the commands of

God which includes those found in the Torah and they keep the faith in Yeshua, by obeying and

following what He showed us and told us no matter what. They walk forward doing the Will of God,

with a loving heart. These are a special class of followers, those in the early congregations as set

up by the apostles fell into this special group as we are told by Paul in his letters addressing them.

All the martyrs through History would also belong to this special group. Today the mainstream

Christian Churches do not meet the requirements to be given the class of Saints. It is only the

complete Bible followers who walk forward in the same manner as the original early congregations,

they are the Philadelphia Church of today. The Saints are a reasonably small group also known as

set-apart-ones , they are very different from the very large population of the masses of people that

meet the condition of obtaining salvation through the Messiah, or being known as the chosen ones.

This other large group are those which will be resurrected in the second resurrection, those that

Yeshua will not lose any that are His on the Last Day. It is the Saints that are resurrected at the

first resurrection and they are with Yeshua during the Millennium as administrators. The Saints are

the first fruits of the Lord.

Isa 65:22 They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.

Mat 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

Mat 24:23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.

Rom 8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

The “mine elect” are the Israelites both scattered throughout the world and also located in

Israel. The Israelites are brought back to Jerusalem in their physical bodies in order to live,

procreate and die through the Millennium. Their blinders will be removed at this time and they will

recognize the Messiah who they rejected. Now it will be a nation of Israelites living again on their

land.

In addition another group are the elect. Prior to Yeshua’s second coming all of the Saints

come back with Yeshua. All of those who are Gentiles and Israelites as defined in Rev 14:12 as

well as those that accepted Yeshua and did not take the mark of the Beast in coming through the

Tribulation period are also Saints and are also called the elect. The special group who have both

been killed as well as those who survived the Tribulation are gathered as this second group of the

“elect”, being the given status as the Saints, and join with the others that were collected ahead of

them. They all then come with Yeshua at His second coming.

Divisions of the Lords People

Rev 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

Rev 3:9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.

Psa 116:15 Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.

Mat 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Mar 4:11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:

Mar 4:12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.

Rev 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

Joh 6:39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

The Saints are the first division of people, these are those to whom Yeshua originally came.

They are given a status of those who will serve under Yeshua during the Millennium as

administrators. Many of these are followers in the original congregations as set up by the Apostles

before major deception and separation between the Israelite followers and the Gentiles occurred.

They are in today’s time complete Bible followers. Also martyrs through the ages, that did not deny

their faith in Yeshua also became the Saints. Those collected just prior to the Tribulation and those

alive at the time of the tribulation and having to pass through it not taking the mark of the Beast

also become the Saints, irrespective as to whether they survive or are killed. These are the first

fruits that are harvested. This group takes place in the first resurrection.

The second group are the large masses of people who accept Yeshua as their savior and

walk forward in deception but still having good hearts and good actions through life. These are the

large masses of church goers through the ages, those who lived and died, this is the large fall

harvest of God’s people. This group are those who Yeshua refers to as His and those He will raise

up on the Last Day and not lose any. These people who’s name is in the Book of Life take part in

the second resurrection and are judged by their works or how they walked through life. Their

reward is according to how they walked forward through life. Those at the bottom of this group are

the shepherds who were guiding the flocks and were not telling them to follow the least of the

commands. The shepherds that led the flock correctly are rewarded at the top of the group. There

is a definite grade system of those being given salvation. All are rewarded according to their walk

through life.

Rewards

Dan 7:22 Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.

Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

1Co 6:2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

Mar 10:30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.

Rev 5:10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

Rev 2:26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:

Rev 2:27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.

Isa 56:6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;

Isa 56:8 The Lord GOD which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.

Joh 10:16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

The highest rewards go first to the Apostles and other key people of the Old Testament.

Next in line are the Saints and most scripture above is addressed to these. All of these are those

taking place in the first resurrection. The second resurrection of those who’s names are written in

the book of life and are given rewards in addition to salvation. Each according to how they walked

forward through life. Those at the bottom are the shepherd’s who did not guide the flocks correctly,

and those at the top of this group are the shepherds that guided their flock correctly. God is

organized and orderly.
