Youth and Young Adults Ministry
Blessing of Students ar 9:30 & 11:00 worship Youth Ministry groups & classes begin for Grades 6-12 - Sun., Sept. 20 Student & Parent Orientation for Middle School, Jr. High & Sr. High - Sun., Sept. 20 12:15-1:30 pm Meet with Pr. Jonathan and current youth leaders to hear about what we will learn and do in youth ministry to grow in faith this year, and how you can help make it happen. We will begin as one group and then divide into the individual age groups to introduce leaders, go over calendars, communications, camps/retreats, curriculum and much more. It’s a great way to start off the year—informed & better together! Light refreshments will be provided.
Youth Ministry Team Calvary has an vibrant and growing youth ministry. It’s important we keep the momentum going. Please PRAY about how you can connect with Youth Ministry to share your time, skills & talents, or faith stories—as either a guide, leader or part of the admin team. Discover Calvary Interested in membership at Calvary or just receiving more information about ministry here? Please join us on Saturday, September 19 from 9am-2pm for Discover Calvary, Part A. Led by Pastor Jonathan with the Calvary staff and ministry leaders. A light breakfast and lunch will be served. Childcare can be provided upon request. Discover Calvary Part B is also an integral part of the membership process and will be held for 6 weeks on Sunday mornings at 9:30am beginning Sunday, September 27. Blessings in a Backpack Golf Outing
Sunday, September 27 at Pine Knob Golf Club. There are several ways to support this important ministry, which feeds hungry children in our Community. Each week volunteers distribute backpacks filled with enough food for the weekend for “at risk” students. $100 purchases food for one child for an entire school year. Calvary supports this ministry with fundraisers and packing volunteers. Golfers $100 for 18 holes with cart and goodie bag. Buffet Lunch and awards. Sponsorships available for $125-$5,000. Fall Growth Groups Will begin at the end of September and will run through our Fall 40 days. If you are interested in leading, please let us know. All groups will be working with the same material. Staff Contact: Debbie Heierman.
Fall Community Impact Weekend Community Impact Weekend is held each Spring and Fall. It encompasses Clarkston, Davisburg and the surrounding communities. Local churches, schools, business, community organizations and other non-profit’s come together for a weekend to serve those who need us most. Projects include feeding the hungry, landscaping projects, small construction projects for seniors, community organizations and low income residents and our local parks. If you know of additional projects please let us know. Coming in September You can register to serve at www.calvaryinfo.org by clicking on the “Service Opportunities” tab. Ferry Farms Fruit Harvest (our Pontiac orchard/church without walls)
The great thing about a church without walls is that it is always OPEN. Just put the address 267 Ferry Avenue, Pontiac into your GPS or Google maps and you’ll find it. When you get there you’ll find a corner with an orchard, another corner with a playground, and a third corner with a park. Come witness the fruits of our labors. Join the harvest Saturday, September 19, from 1-4 pm. If you have questions about the this event, please contact LeAnne Schmidt for more details, if you are interested in joining the Pontiac Ministry Team or want a partner to go visit the orchard.

own fruit. People do not pick figs from thornbushes, or grapes from briers. Good people bring
