C) Passenger Security :• ccrv System (04 Monitors & 34 Camera's) have been installed at Pune

station to keep watch on criminal activities.• Proposal for installation of CCTV System at Miraj, Shivajinagar &

Kolhapur stations is under process.• X-Ray-Baggage Scanner installed at Pune & Miraj station for checking

of explosives.• DFMD's have been installed at important stations.• Deployed RPF Dog Squad (Sniffer Dogs) for checking of explosives at

stations & in trains randomly.• Train escorting: 10 daily, 02 weekly important Mail/Express trains are

being escorted by RPF in Pune-Miraj-Kolhapur-Pune section & 12 UnitLocals (06 Up & 06 Dn ) are also being escorted by lady RPF staff

of trafficking of women and children in co-ordination with Office of the Commissioner

Women and Child Development, Maharashtra State/Pune, assisted by a NGO II Save the

Children India".

8 Rescued 03 minor girl & 08 minor boys during the year 2012 & 10 minor boys, 02 minor

girls & 01 women rescued during the year 2013(Up to July).

9 Assisted Commercial staff during various drives, booked 10832 cases under various

sections of Rly.Act, realized fine Rs.4345609/- during the year 2012 & 7646 cases

/fine Rs.2653342/- during the year 2013 (Up to July)

10 Detected 01 case of Theft of passenger belongings, 01 case of molestation during the

year 2012 & in the year 2013 (Up to July) detected 01 case of passenger luggage theft,

02 cases of molestation & 01 case u/s 65 Mumbai Police Act, 510,116/117,112/117 IPC

and handed over to Police. Also detected 01 case of false declaration, recovered 77

Kgs Goa Guthaka , arrested 01 accused & prosecuted for the offence under section 163,

165 Railway Act.

11 Five cases of robbery & dacoity detected due to joint efforts by RPF, LCB GRP&

Anti Dacoity Cell and recovered stolen property with the arrest of 10 accused during

he year 2012.

12 Collected 09 unclaimed bags during the year 2012 & 02 unclaimed bags during the year

2013 (Up to July) & handed over to the passengers/LPO/GRP .

13 Conducted passenger awareness campaigns to prevent untoward incidents (HRO),

drugging of passengers & cattle run over.

14 Assisted Railway Administration, Police during Festivals, Mela, Dharana, Agitations etc.

4. Innovative/Social welfare activities:

i) Trafficking of women & children :

Workshop was organized by DSC/Pune on19.10.12to sensitize RPF staff forprevention of trafficking of womenand children in co-ordination with Office of theCommissionerWomen and Child Development, Maharashtra State/Pune, assisted bya NGO 1\ Save the Children India".Co-ordination is being maintained with the NGO's /Police for the safety & securityof women& children passengerson Railwaysregularly.

ii) Rescue of minor boys/girls & their rehabilitation:

Three minor girl & 08 minor boys were rescued by RPFstaff during the year2012 & 10 minor boys, 02 minor girls rescued by RPFstaff during the year2013(Up to July) and handed over to their parants/Institutes/Police .

Adequate co-ordination has also been maintained with NGO's, prepared 08 RPFMitras from NGO-SATHI, Tadiwala Road, Pune for the safety & security ofchildren on Railwaysover Punedivision.

iii) Action against Beggar's & their rehabilitation

Joint raids are being made by Police against beggars in co-ordination with RPF&initiating action against the beggars under the provision of MBPAct,1959.During the year 2013 (Up to July) in all 72 cases were made against beggars underMBP Act,1959 and they were sent to Government Beggars Receiving Center ,Phulenagar,Erwada, Pune-06 as ordered by hon'ble JMFC RailwaysPune.

Similarly 64 persons were prosecuted by RPFfor the offence under section 144(b)RailwayAct during same period which were fined by hon'ble JMFC/Rly's Pune.
