GOAL ZERO was inspired by a love of going off the beaten path to unfamiliar places. Places so far off the grid, that electric power doesn’t exist. We’re a company that equips people seeking the farthest outposts of the world with the most innovative portable power products on the market.

GOAL ZERO isn’t just a company, it’s a business created by people who live life to it’s fullest, with a shared vision inspired by the passion for adventure, respect for the planet and a humanitarian heart. Inspired by a realizationDeep in the heart of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) came a realization so hard-hitting, our president, Robert Workman couldn’t ignore it. The DRC has long survived from its most indigenous times without electric power, but for Robert this was hard to reconcile. Where he saw a beautiful culture coping and maintaining, he wished to provide more. Better, he knew that access to reliable sources of electric power would create vast opportunities. Upon his return to the States, he set out to create an entirely new way of supplying reliable, portable energy — the first GOAL ZERO prototype.

A humanitarian heartWhen Robert Workman returned home, he founded a non-profit organization, Tifie Humanitarian (www.tifie.org), on the principle that all individuals deserve the opportunity to provide for themselves and their families. GOAL ZERO and Tifie were conceived to work together, not only to provide access to portable power, but to empower by eliminating the boundaries to humanitarian initiatives. Tifie receives a percentage of all GOAL ZERO profits. We dream that someday there will be Ø illiteracy, Ø poverty and Ø hunger. In fact you can say, our spirit of giving back comes before our other goals — so in other words, it’s our GOAL ZERO.

When you need portable power in its most compact form the Guide 10 keeps weight at a minimum. The Guide 10 utilizes rechargeable AA batteries for power. Take as many as you want (holds a maximum of four at a time) and charge favorite handheld devices via its integrated USB port. Couple with the Nomad 7M and now you have a complete system to recharge and store power.
