My motivators• I will be internally motivated to graduate because• I’ll feel good about myself• I will gain new skills and knowledge• Better career opportunities

• I will be externally motivated to graduate because• Family will be proud of me• Friends will be proud of me• Children will see me succeed

Get a career I will enjoy, like a management position in a book store, after I graduate.

Complete assignments on time!

Plan• Set a time each day to work on my assignments• Example: Complete assignment on rational decision making

and take a non-graded self-assessment on my preferred decision-making style at 2:30pm

My motivator• I will be internally motivated to complete this goal because• It will help me to have a good grade• It gets me a step closer to achieving my long-term goals

Support system• My family helping me out by watching my children so that I

can focus and do a great job on my assignments

Read chapters from my textbooks and take notes

Plan• Set times for me to read during the day

• Example: Read 6 pages at 11am and 9pm and take notes everyday

My motivators• I will be internally motivated to complete this goal because

• Reading and learning new ideas will benefit me when doing assignments and taking tests

• Will get me a step closer to achieving my long-term goals

Support system• My children

• They are very helpful when it comes to reading, like me, they love books so they sit down and read or look at their books while I read and take notes. We call it reading time!

Research bookstores and libraries and their career opportunities or management positions

Plan• I research once or twice a month• Write down anything I learn• I plan to have a career in the future managing libraries or working in a book store

My motivator• I will be internally motivated to complete this goal because• Book are my passion• Fill me with happiness• I want to work in an organization where books are the main product

I look forward to completing my long-term goal for graduating with

my bachelors degree. I feel confident that I will reach that goal because I know I can achieve all of

my short-term goals that are stepping stones to graduating. I

have a lot of motivation and I have family, friends, teachers and

advisors all here to support me.

I know I can do it and that I have a fantastic future ahead of me!
