Goals and Expectations Assignment
This is the first sample I have of your writing. Please do the best you can and think about the questions before responding. Try to be
specific and set your expectations and goals for yourself high but reachable.
PROMPT: You are now in 8th grade, a year for changes, fun, and growth. When you look forward to the next 10 months what do you
foresee happening in your life? Write out your personal goals and expectations for this year in a friendly letter. Address your letter to either yourself, a parent or me. Your response in the body of your
letter needs to be at least 3 paragraphs in length.
PRE-WRITING: In your Writer’s Notebook take notes on format and then complete the pre-writing.
