JM Parking Lot Garbage. Purpose get students to not litter. Shoot video of the lot at 7am, compared to 3:30 each day. Edit into a 30 second video to be shown during advisory. Have students with garbage bags in the lot reminding students to throw their garbage away. Follow-up with additional video each week to demonstrate the progress or lack of progress.Good Works. Purpose encourage a JM culture of kindness. Create a good deed ticket, giving each teacher ten blanks, along with an explanation of the project. Teachers distribute the tickets, then winners are chosen from those to get gift certificates (donated by local businesses in conjunction with the administration). Follow-up with surveys of students and staff on changes in the building.Recruitment Drive. Get more students to join a JM Club. Choose a JM club with low attendance during Advisory. Work with the advisors and club members on a recruitment drive. Gather data on increased participation/attendance.
