On Saturday, October 14, 2017 approximately six dozen adventurous “edgers” will rappel 17 stories down the side of Uptown Charlotte’s Hyatt House. Each of these edgers will raise at least $1,200 to support the mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Carolinas, an organization that establishes and maintains more than 1,500 one-to-one mentoring relationships in Mecklenburg, Cabarrus and York counties.

Your company can get in on the ground floor of this attention-getting, adrenaline pumping opportunity for thrill seekers of all ages. As a corporate sponsor of this event, one or more of your leadership team will have the opportunity to go “Over the Edge” themselves. In addition, your company will be included on event t-shirts, web page and other promotional items. You will also be invited to participate in our media day events on Friday, October 13, including a cocktail reception at the Hyatt House.

lives for the better, forever! Our one-to-one mentoring programs lead to concrete, measurable improvements in the lives of the children we serve, including increased self-confidence, improved grades and school attendance, and a decreased likelihood of risky behaviors like drug and alcohol use. Our organization has also received the highest (4-star) rating from CharityNavigator.org for our financial responsibility and effective use of donor funds.
