  1. 1. THE LAST WATER PROJECT
    BY
    GARRETT MCCARTHY and
    THOMAS MOORE
  2. 2. Fresh water
Most fresh water can commonly be found in Rivers, Lakes, Streams, and common household drinking water.
  3. 3. Fresh water
We drink Fresh water every day and without it we would DIE!!!
  4. 4. Salt water
Salt water will make you throw up if you drink it. It can mostly be found in the Ocean
  5. 5. Salt water
    • Salt water covers most of the Earth in the form of ocean.
  6. Water cycle
    • The water cycle describes the continuous movement of water
  7. Water cycle
Since the water cycle is really a cycle there is no beginning or end.
  8. 6. Water cycle
Water can change states among liquid, vapor, and ice at various places in the water cycle.
  9. 7. Water cycle
Although the balance of water on Earth remains fairly constant over time, individual water molecules can come and go.
  10. 8. Ocean landforms
The deep waters of the oceans hide from view rugged mountains, vast plateaus, active volcanoes, and seemingly bottomless trenches.
  11. 9. Ocean landforms
These water landscapes are in an endless cycle of construction and destruction as new crust is born along mid-ocean ridges, pushing old crust into the depths of the fiery mantel.
  12. 10. Ocean landforms
The ocean appeared hundreds of million of years ago as planet Earth cooled from its wild and hot adolescence.
  13. 11. Ocean landforms
Layers of rock pilled together and the vast amounts of steam that volcanoes spewed
  14. 12. Currents
An ocean current is a continuous, directed movement of water generatedby the forces acting upon the water, such as the wind, Coriolis force, temperature and salinity differences and tides caused by the gravitational pull of the Moon and Sun.
  15. 13. currents
Depth contours, shoreline configurations and interaction with other currents influence a currents direction and strength.
  16. 14. tides
Tides are the rise and fall of sea levels caused by the combined effects of the rotation of the Earth and the gravitational forces exerted by the Moon and the sun.
  17. 15. tides
The tides occur with a period of approximately 12 and a half hours and influenced by the shape of the near-shore bottom.
  18. 16. How do humans effect water badly
Due to large game fishing and pollution the water biome is dwindling fast.
  19. 17. How do humans effect water positively
They clean the beaches so that the ocean wont become more polluted than it already is.
