The portion that supposively humans are adding is even smaller. water vapor is actually the most abundant and important greenhouse gas. we have to look at the earths troposhpere to see if theres greenhouse temp increase -- there is a theory that states that the increases in temperature should occur more higher due to the nature of the greenhouse effect. most warming should take place at 10km satellites and weather balloons take temperature at earths atmosphere

most of the earth is warming at the surface and not at the temperature.. al gore has made the most popular case for the global warming effect in An Inconvenient Truth. One example he has used is to take ice from deep in the earth in the artic and measure CO2 levels. The lower the ice, the older the ice, and also you can measure each particle of ice for co2 levels.

Warmer oceans = emit CO2. Colder oceans = suck in CO2. Oceans are so big and so deep they take hundreds of years to warm up and cool down. This means current warming takes hundres of years to take effect -- the current situation we see now happened hundreds of years ago. Carbon dioxide is driving carbon change.

Is it Humans controlling climate? Look at the size of the sun from our human. There is a correlation with the amount of sunspots / solar activity and the effects of global warming. There was an astronomer who looked at the sun during the little ice age and found that there were no sun spots on the sun then. More spots = more temperature.
