Travel the World With GVC Where will your classroom collaborate this year? This email comes to you as a reminder that our web design contest entry deadline is fast approaching. The Contest is broadly divided into 4 phases: application and team registration, getting acquainted, website planning, web authoring and review. Teachers must register before September 30, 2011. We all know how quickly time 'vanishes' at the beginning of the school year, so don't delay; register today! http://www.virtualclassroom.org/application.html Also view and share with your colleagues the winners from previous years! Learn about other cultures, travel virtually anywhere, anytime. Students become more independent thinkers, effective collaborators, eager learners! What more could school offer? Middle School students have said: "It's the hardest thing I've ever done, the most fun I've ever had, and the most I've ever learned in a class!" After applying, teachers receive an invitation to join our Teachers Lounge Wiki and will be able to choose one partner starting Sept. 15th, then be matched with a third partner and registered as a team by October 1-3, 2011. Teachers who create winning web sites will receive $1,000 and an award plaque, second place winners will receive $500 and an award plaque, and third place winners will receive $250 and an award plaque. All students will receive a certificate of participation. Merit award winners will receive software from Tech4Learning .

Ronda Zelenzy-Green will continue her outreach efforts in all parts ofthe world and help with one on one Clubhouse partnerships.
