• Determine requirements and purpose/objective of teleconf program, including phases of implementation ina short and long term strategies

• Identify basic video conferencing telecom equipment configuration (hardware and software, server software for MSU; regular stations, monitors, and software for remote locations)

• Identify sources for equipment

• Submit request for approval/budget dollars

• Generate procurement documents (preferably GSA)

• Order conditioned telephone lines for MSU and remote locations

• Accept all equipment at MSU; check and burn-in; install MSU configuration; configure, test and fine-tune at MSU before deployment.

• Install 1st remote configuration at remote location; train personnel in use of equipment

• Install 2nd remote location

• Install 3rd remote location

BASIC EQUIPMENT INSTALLATION (SATELLITE)

• Determine international audience and purpose/objectives (including short and long strategic values for MSU)

• Identify satellite video conferencing equipment and services and facilities at MSU required to meet objectives; identify projects costs and options for procurement (GSA, buy-in on other government contracts, leasing equipment and services, manpower, local support, etc.)

• Submit request for approval/budget dollars

• Generate procurement documents (preferably GSA)

• Prepare facilities required for satellite antenna

• Accept all equipment at MSU; install at MSU; check and burn-in; test and fine-tune at MSU before deployment (if remote locations in Montana to be serviced by MSU satellite system).

• Integrate into MSU system (including video headend and integration into ethernet system).

• Train personnel in maintenance and operational training

• Conduct 1st satellite broadband video conference

• Install in remote locations as required
