• Expanded to offer 6 destinations in 2018

interconnections between their host country and the U.S.
• Students articulate how their time abroad has enriched their academic experience
• Students recognize and describe similarities, differences, and interconnections between their host country and the U.S.
• Students articulate how their time abroad has enriched their academic experience by documenting and reflecting upon their experiences in host country through essays, journals, blogs, and group discussions.
• Students will gain a foundational knowledge of host country history, politics, society and culture.

Global May as a First Year Student- why?• Broad spectrum learning- not major
specific• Fulfill GE Credit that many Y1 students
need• Packaged experiences- confidence for
first time travelers• Not lengthy commitments unlike Sem/AY• Affordable – heavily subsidized by ASC• Not focused on GPA to determine
acceptance- good academic standing• No language pre- requisite so Y1 students
who have no foreign language skills can participate and succeed

Financing Study Abroad• Financial aid is available to students

• Scholarships are available specifically for study abroad programs through Ohio State’s colleges, International Affairs and external resources
