Paul McKenna teaches, writes and consults in the fields of world religions and interfaith dialogue. In his more than thirty years of experience in this field, Paul has received a number of awards and honors for his interfaith work Paul created the Scarboro Missions Golden Rule Poster featuring the Golden Rule scripturally and symbolically in 13 religions. This multifaith poster has achieved international renown as an educational and interfaith resource. Paul Chaffee, director of the Interfaith Center at the Presidio in San Francisco and one of the most influential interfaith figures in the USA, has described the Golden Rule Poster as “the single most powerful interfaith tool in the world.” Paul McKenna has created a number of do-it- yourself, educational and curriculum resources in the fields of the Golden Rule and interfaith dialogue. These are available on the Scarboro Missions website. Paul has two Masters degrees in theology. Paul McKenna has been monitoring interfaith activity for the past thirty years. Sam Muyskens describes him as a “fun loving, optimistic theologian, who has committed his life to interfaith understanding”. In addition to the four public presentations described in this brochure, Paul will be meeting one on one with Kansas religious leaders and educators introducing the Golden Rule Curriculum he has developed and implemented throughout Canada. During the month of March, Global Faith In Action will be offering comprehensive Golden Rule training for educators, youth workers, scout leaders, and school teachers. Kate Marshall Flaherty, from Toronto, Canada, will be our guest facilitator. Kate is an award-winning poet, founding member of the Children’s Peace Theatre and a lifelong student of world religions. Kate is one of Paul McKenna’s lead retreat facilitators of the Golden Rule curriculum.
