Global Economic Summit 2014 -Updates

The summit will witness participation of over 500 delegates from India and abroad representing over 30 countries. Delegates from countries including Africa, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, California, Ghana, Iran, Lafayette of Indiana Area, Myanmar, Malta, Russia, Romania, Pakistan, Philippines, Poland, San Marino, South Korea, Singapore, Switzerland, United States of America, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Brazil, Bulgaria, Cyprus, China, Cameroon, Costa Rica, Croatia, China, UAE, France, Georgia Hungary, Italy, Indonesia Japan, Jordan, Korea, Libya, Malaysia, Mauritius, Netherlands, Oman Spain, Sri Lanka, Turkey, Taipei, Yemen, Mozambique, Indonesia, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, and Vietnam have shown keen interest in participating at the Summit. Also large number of trade delegations from Rwanda, Zambia, Myanmar, Dubai, Malta, Costa Rica, Ghana and Cameroon representing multiple sectors will promote free trade zones from their respective regions. Over 30 to 40 trade points will actively participate in the summit

as the integral part of the General Assembly of the World Trade Point Federation. These trade pOints facilitate business linkages of SIVIEs through an e-platform.

On the domestic front, SMEs from Indian States such as Maharashtra, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Goa and Gujarat will participate and exhibit at the summit. Also, the Ministry of Tourism of India will be promoting tourism through the "Incredible India booth" at the Exhibit. The Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation will be promoting its tourism through special tour packages for the participating delegates.

SMEs, Business Leaders, Experts and Startup Entrepreneurs representing sectors such as Agribusiness and Food Processing, Auto and Auto Components, Defence, Business Services and Hospitality, Chemicals and pharmaceuticals, Construction and Infrastructure, Education, Electrical and Electronics, Engineering, Energy and Environment, Gems, Jewellery and

Handicrafts, Information and Communication Technology, Life Science and Biotechnology, Mechanical and Metallurgical, Textiles and Leather, Trade Promotion and Development, Transportation and Logistics, Skill Development, Educational & Financial Institutions and others will participate and exhibit at the Summit.
