Such a busy term with Camp, Sports events, Reports, Graduation, Prep transition etc. Mr Jasenia is on leave for the term and Mrs Crole will be covering his role. We also have our Walk to School program as well. I would like to thank Miss Cetin, her team of teachers and students for their eagerness. Preps For 2016 Over the last two terms we have been conducting numerous tours for next year. We would like to finalise our prep numbers for 2106 as soon as possible. The response has been fantastic and we look like running three prep classes next year as well as two additional classes across the school. We know that there are still quite a few families that have not enrolled and I encourage them to do so as the grades are filling up quickly. Vision Portraits Family Portraits are now available at the office. Final Notice for Grade 3/4 Camp

Welcome back to term 4. Such a busy term with Camp, Sports events, Reports, Graduation, Prep transition etc. Mr Jasenia is on leave for the term and Mrs Crole will be covering his role. STAR FISH AWARDS “Make Someone’s Day”

Breakfast Snacks!

Dear Parents,

In reward for the schools registration for the walk to school, on Friday the 9

h of October there will be free

healthy breakfast snacks available to students. The breakfast station will be located in front of the canteen foyer. The breakfast snacks will be available from 8.30am to 8.45am. There will be fresh bananas, apples, mandarins and crunchola bars. The breakfast snacks provided are displayed in the photograph below. Students can participate by stopping at the breakfast station to collect a healthy snack to start their day nutritiously.

Walk to School!

Dear Parents,

For the month of October Gladstone Views Primary School will be participating in the Victorian initiative

Walk to School.

Walk to School encourages primary school children to walk to and from school in October; to highlight

Purple Week! There are a series of events on during purple week to raise money for the Cancer Council Foundation in honour of our families Affected by this disease. So please participate in as much as you can during this week

EVENT DAY COST Lolly Jar Guess – guess how many lollies in the lolly jar at the canteen.

The lolly jar will be at the canteen for the whole week - Monday 14th September to Friday 18th September.

50 cents per guess (You may guess as much as you like)

Basketball knockout – to get all shots in the hoop to be the last one standing.

Lunchtime in the gym - Monday 14th September

$1 per game

Ping Pong Shot – try and bounce the ping pong ball into 1 of 8 cups

Lunchtime in the gym - Wednesday 16thSeptember

$1 per game

Disco – Each of the year levels will have an hour of disco and dance time. The timetable will be displayed in each classroom.

Wednesday 16th September $1 donation per student

Talent show – sign up by Friday the 11/9. Tryouts will be on Thursday the 17/9. The performances can be a maximum of 2 minutes. Finals will be on Friday 18/9, presented at a special assembly at 12:30-1:30.

Tryouts will be hosted in room 12 at lunchtime on Thursday 17th September

50 cent entry fee

Purple Dress up Day – Please try to wear as much purple as possible on this casual clothes day.

Special Assembly – There will be a special assembly for the Talent Show finalists to award the winner. The winners of all the other activities hosted throughout the week will also be announced.
