Hubbard Glacier
DEAR ALUMNI AND FRIENDS,Experience the extraordinary flora and fauna of Alaska aboard Oceania Cruises’ Regatta. Begin your cruise in Seward, a city that’s home to Kenai Fjords National Park and is the starting point of the historic Iditarod Trail. Spend two days taking in the coastline of Alaska—cruise College Fjord and see the large valley glaciers, then glide past Hubbard Glacier, the largest tidewater glacier in the world. In Icy Strait Point, keep an eye out for bald eagles and bears, or watch for whales spouting at Point Adolphus feeding area. Visit Juneau, which offers upscale dining and shopping as well as incredible wildlife viewing opportunities. Dive into Skagway’s enchanting gold rush past with a ride on the White Pass and Yukon Route Railroad, then travel to Sitka, where you can see some of Alaska’s oldest indigenous art. Next, experience the unique culture of Ketchikan, a city backed by steep, forested slopes and fringed by a pristine waterfront. Snap photos of native totem poles or feast on locally caught seafood. Before ending your cruise in Vancouver, British Columbia, cruise the Pacific to Nanaimo, a thriving city center that offers travelers a diverse mélange of galleries, shops, and museums.
Travel to these wonderful ports with Go Next, the alumni cruise leader, and its preferred cruise partner, Oceania Cruises, offering the best value in upscale cruising. Discover the outstanding benefits of traveling with Go Next, from the thoughtful assistance of the Guest Interaction Specialists and the expertise of the exclusive on-site Go Next Program Managers, to the camaraderie of exploring the world with like-minded travelers. Go Next handles the details, so you can relax and immerse yourself in each extraordinary destination.
Join fellow alumni on this journey aboard Oceania Cruises’ elegant Regatta, an award-winning ship with world-class cuisine and amenities. Space is limited, so sign up now for the best choice of stateroom category. The OLife Choice offer––including round-trip airfare* and your stateroom’s choice of six free shore excursions, a free House Select Beverage Package, or $600 shipboard credit—is available only until September 19, 2019.
For the ultimate experience, consider beginning your journey with an optional Go Next Denali Pre-Cruise Program. Spend two full days sightseeing, including a scenic train ride on The Denali Star, a dome train car with an outdoor observation deck. Enjoy an exciting flightseeing tour of Denali, the tallest mountain peak in North America, and its incredible wilderness.
As you make plans for traveling, I encourage you to consider the trip insurance offered through the Auburn Alumni Association.
As a bonus, an Auburn University host is eligible to travel on this tour if the participation level is met. We look forward to having you travel with us! For more information on all of the Auburn Alumni Association tours, please visit our website at www.alumni.auburn.edu/travel.
