HISTORY

1895 Canada first made Waterton Lake a national park.

1910 U.S. Congress created Glacier National Park

1932 Canada and the United States created the world’s first international park.

It’s known as a peace park in honor of the two countries long friendship.

Entering Glacier National Park There are many entrances to Glacier

National Park We are going to use the Camas Creek

entrance We are using this entrance because it’s

close to our first destination. Also it has scenic highways on the route

to Lake McDonald our first stop.

Traveling to Sperry Glacier

We took a helicopter to our next stop

You could see the forests whip past as we made our way to Sperry Glacier

The elevation of Sperry Glacier is 8800 meters

We are staying at Sperry Glacier for three days

The first thing we’ll do is go snow boarding and cross country skiing on the snowy and icy Sperry Glacier

We’ll put on our snow shoes and walk half way around Sperry Glacier

As we move around Sperry Glacier we will see wolves, maybe a marmot

OUR WAY TO LAKE ELLEN WILSON

We will get to the highest, coldest point of Sperry Glacier

Then hanglide all the way over to Lake Ellen Wilson

We will have an exceptional view of the lake from above

LAKE ELLEN WILSON

The elevation of Lake Ellen Wilson is 5929 feet

We will stay for two days at Lake Ellen Willson campsite

We will go horseback riding on one of the many trails that go around the lake

We go fishing and swimming We will see fish, deer, and wild flowers

TRANSPORTATION TO STOP 4

Bike We will see many grasslands and forests on the way there

Also we will see moose and big horn sheep

The elevation of Gunsight Pass is 6946 feet

We will stay be in the Gunsight Pass for three days.

We will see the Gunsight Mountain on the way there

Also we will climb up and down the mountain

Horse back ride at the end of the Gunsight Pass
