Yet another successful event was held with the involvement of Global Institute of Studies! In collaborations with Ministry of Education and Majlis Guru Kaunseling Ke-bangsaan, Anugerah Dan Bicara Tokoh Pro-gram was held at the beautiful Banghuris Homestay in Sepang on 27th September. Attended by Tuan Haji Mohd Ghazali (Educational and Anti-Drugs Unit) and Tuan Haji Samsul (Career and Counseling Assis-tant Officer), teachers, students and elderly, the event successfully attracted people to consider the best possible education for their children. Booths were set up with the help from respective representatives from each offered programmes at GIS; Diploma and Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) The event started off with the singing of the national and state anthem, followed by a talk from GIS Public Relations Manager, Miss Azrina Aziz on education pathways and job possibilities in the related field, which aimed to raise awareness on potential future of our young generations. The highlight of the program was the award of Tokoh Warga Emas Negara to Tan Sri Datin Paduka Seri Hajah Zaleha, a show of gratitude for her contributions to the soci-ety. She further augmented the program with the speech on how a healthy family relation-ship is important in society, which was con-cluded with souvenirs-giving ceremony by Headmaster of SMK Sg Rawang to all the VIPs including GIS. To complete the cycle of the pro-gram, all VIPs had the chance to visit all the set up booths by GIS. Several practical dem-onstrations from GIS successfully enliven the day; baby massage techniques, culinary and welding demonstrations as well as simula-tions of engine assembly from automotive.
