TwinLuxe Philosophy TwinLuxe founders, identical twin brothers Anthony and Hubert Tsai, had a vision of merging progressive innovation with precision craftsmanship to change the entire shaving experience.

Our Asian heritage made us appreciate tradition, while our fast-paced Wall Street career taught us to always find new ways to achieve the ultimate performance. We have a deep passion for design, materials, and quality in all aspects of life. Why compromise while shaving? We don’t eat with plastic cutlery – why shave that way? Why should one use generic tools and mass-market skincare formula when the entire shaving experience can be turned into a personal daily ritual?

Despite being twins, we noticed how individual our skincare needs are. We also noticed that there was not a luxe skincare line available that could be tailored to our skin types. Thus we created an entire skincare range that can be “boosted” with add-on products. “We want to bring the barbershop experience into the 21st century, all in your own home – an easy morning ritual that leaves you feeling pampered, fresh, and well groomed all day,” envisioned Anthony.

TwinLuxe Design

TwinLuxe Fine Shaving Instruments are designed by world renowned designer Marek Djordjevic, whose works include exterior designs of the Rolls-Royce Phantom family of cars. “My goal was to reflect the vision of TwinLuxe founders and embody the values of authenticity and masculine presence in a modern expression of craftsmanship and luxury,” says Djordjevic.

Inspired by the timeless symbols of strength and status, these highly refined instruments deliver the pinnacle shaving experience. The solid design of TwinLuxe shave sets exudes confidence through their weight and feel. By incorporating the materials and finishes from advanced technologies found in fine wrist watches, exotic automobiles, and surgical instruments, TwinLuxe brings the traditional shaving tools into the 21st century.

TwinLuxe Craftsmanship

A combination of precision machining and carefully hand-worked craftsmanship brings each TwinLuxe Fine Shaving Instruments shave set to life. The TwinLuxe monogram in relief presented on the Anthracite shaving brush is machined using a 0.0156” carbide-end mill – a cutting tool as thin as your fingernail – and takes over 20 minutes to machine. Tight tolerances of 0.002” are used during the manufacturing of the shave set components.

Each shave set is hand-assembled and inspected by the TwinLuxe founders to ensure the highest standards of quality. All chromed parts of the shave sets are hand polished. The TwinLuxe razor is available in a selection of unique materials and coatings, compatible with Fusion™ blades by Gillette®. (*TwinLuxe is independent of and has no affiliation with the company Gillette®). Held in hand, one can feel the solid precision and generous heft of the brush and razor.

The TwinLuxe Shave Brush, paired with natural silvertip badger hair, effortlessly lifts the beard and gently exfoliates the skin to achieve the closest shave possible. Our badger fur, carefully sorted, washed, and dressed in Germany using traditional and time honored hand processes, is the finest, softest, and most flexible natural bristle that retains water like a sponge.

It is machined in the USA from solid white alumina ceramic, an advanced ceramic known for its high mechanical strength and wear resistance. This high-tech material is typically used in demanding industrial and structural applications such as engine parts and ballistic armor.

SHAVE TOWEL

The TwinLuxe Shave Towel, designed by the TwinLuxe founders, is made from eco-friendly cotton found in southern Turkey near the Aegean Sea. Grown, harvested, and manufactured without harsh chemicals and pesticides, the shave towel is made from one of the most natural cottons in the world.

The end result is a super-soft and plush micro-cotton towel which feels great against your skin.

InSTRUMEnTS CARE InSTRUCTIOnS

Razor: After shaving, rinse razor and blade with warm water to wash away any excess shave cream/soap. Shake off water and store razor upright in the shave stand.

Brush: Thoroughly wash the silvertip badger hair brush with warm water after each use. Flick off excess water, then hang it on the TwinLuxe stand with bristles facing down. This prevents moisture and mildew build-up, which can damage the bristles. never use bleach or solvents on the silvertip bristles.

For a thorough cleaning, wash TwinLuxe Fine Shaving Instruments with a mild solution of soap and warm water (except on the silvertip badger hair). Rinse with water and wipe off excess with a microfiber towel to avoid surface scratches. Do not use bleach or solvents.

Our detailed guide to the perfect shave will take you through this rewarding ritual step by step...

pre-shave:

*STEP 1: Open Pores / Soften Hair Follicles > Closer Shave: Apply a hot wet TwinLuxe Shave Towel made out of the softest Turkish micro-cotton, or simply splash warm water for about one minute onto the face. This step will help relax and open your facial pores, exposing more hair for the razor blade to lift. The better the grip of the hair – the closer the shave.

*STEP 2: Deep Clean / Exfoliate > Smoother Clean Skin: On a damp face, dispense a nickel-sized amount of the TwinLuxe Renewing Face Wash & Scrub and massage in a circular motion. The gentle microbeads exfoliate, smooth away roughness and prevent ingrown hairs – the key to a comfortable close shave – while the nourishing cleanser will help unclog pores and promote glowing skin. Wash off thoroughly with warm water and tap face dry with a soft towel.

*STEP 3: Boost Skin’s Defenses / Add Protective Barrier > no Irritation:TwinLuxe Booster Serum is an irritation-fighting formula that boosts skin’s defense and adds a protective barrier between the razor blade and skin. Apply the ultra light-weight serum all over shaving area of face and neck.

shave:

*STEP 1: Increase Circulation / Smooth Skin > Optimum Glide: Wet the TwinLuxe Shave Brush with warm water and then flick off excess moisture. next, scoop up a generous amount of TwinLuxe Smooth Shave Cream with fingertips and dab over face. In gentle circular motions, massage the cream on face/neck with the brush. This will increase your skin’s circulation and also provide for a super smooth glide. The hair follicles will soften, uplifting the hair for maximum grip. Sparingly apply warm water onto brush so the shave cream does not dry out on face. Repeat if necessary.

*STEP 2: Close Lift / Grip > Precision Cut: Rinse the TwinLuxe Razor under warm water and gently shave in the direction of hair growth starting at sideburns. Do not press hard – excessive pressure causes skin irritations and razor burns. keep strokes to around one inch around mustache/noise/chin areas, and two inches around cheeks/sideburns. Rinse razor blades under hot water in between strokes.

Rinse brush and razor thoroughly with warm water. Flick off excess water, and slide brush with bristles facing down back onto the stand. Face razor up to dry.

post-shave:

*STEP 1: Close Pores / Soothe > Rescue: Rinse face with warm water to remove remaining shave cream. Immediately splash cold water onto the entire face and neck to close and tighten pores. Pat dry with a soft Shave Towel. Apply TwinLuxe Instant Rescue Gel to any cuts, nicks or impurities, to help relieve redness and fight irritation.

*STEP 2: Refresh / Re-Power > Renew: Apply the lightweight TwinLuxe Booster Serum to problem spots on the face. The power serum is instantly absorbed into the skin to help revive and renew one’s complexion.

*STEP 3: Moisturize / Soothe > nourish: TwinLuxe Soothing Face Balm is the crucial final step to a perfect, lasting shave: gently massage the intensive non-oily moisturizer onto face and neck to hydrate the skin with essential nutrients.
