The audio-visual world in the mid-Eighties was very different to today. Gibson Music was regarded as a pioneer in what would become an extraordinary industry that we now take for granted.

During the Eighties, changes in technologies were gathering pace. Sony had launched the ground-breaking personal cassette tape player (The Walkman), vinyl records were still a popular music format, terrestrial TV welcomed Channel 4, and satellite TV was still in its infancy. At that time, Gibson Music designed and developed its own multi-room music systems so that clients could control music wherever they chose in their homes.

Perhaps the greatest advancements since then have been in personal technologies and those that are close to home. The Nineties saw the dawn of the Information Age where suddenly worldwide communication became

possible through the Internet. And during the start of the 21st century, we’ve seen a dramatic revolution where music, movies and other media are available whenever and wherever we like.

Gibson Integration’s portfolio of services has grown to encompass much beyond the music systems upon which we were founded, and we now provide ways for our clients to control whatever they chose in their home. Our new name, Gibson Integration, embraces the full range of technologies for which the company is known.

Our core enthusiasm is not just the music that was once in our name, but a broader range of exciting technologies that, collectively, enable us to create very special environments for our clients.

THE VINTAGE YEARS TO PRESENT DAY...Gibson Integration began its journey as Gibson Music in 1985, providing a unique and specialised service in the design and installation of multi-room music systems.

Gibson Compact is a stand-alone division focused on smaller projects. Led by an experienced project manager, the service is aimed at small to medium projects that require minimal preparation work, are relatively straightforward, and turnkey in their nature.

A typical installation could be a small home cinema room or four areas of music with a plasma system, help with a new computer network for an existing client, or a high-end music system with performance speakers.

whilst it is important to advise our clients of the possibilities, it is essential for us to listen in order to understand your requirements and establish what is important to you. Only in this way can we develop a solution which delivers.

Gibson Integration provides a design and drawing service for every project. Working as a close member of the project team, it establishes a clear brief for the overall project. From this, a detailed specification is developed including, as appropriate, wiring schematics, overlay plans, technical drawings, product information and outline costs.

Project management is extremely important. From the time of our first appointment, a dedicated project manager will be allocated to you. He will be responsible for all aspects of the installation and will be the primary point of contact for the project team and the client.

Gibson Integration’s range of aftercare services strives to resolve this conflict with regular servicing and maintenance plans, together with post-installation system and programming revisions which address any changes in requirements, ensuring that the client can “enjoy their world”. Each aftercare package can be tailored to suit your requirements. We also offer advice on any advances in technology which give options that may help our clients improve their installation should they so wish.

We do not live in a perfect world and occasionally things go wrong. Gibson Integration therefore also offers a reactive response service providing, where access is granted, remote system correction or, where necessary, a call-out facility. Every attempt is made to resolve problems quickly and efficiently to minimise your inconvenience.
