Kiwanis has two official descriptions:
Purpose: To improve lives through fellowship in service worldwide.
Defining Statement: a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a
time.

• was chartered in 1946
• today has both direct members plus many others in several sponsored groups

The Rosemead Kiwanis Foundation(RKF)
• a 501(c)(3) organization eligible for charitable donations.
• officers of the Foundation are identical to those of the Club.

We are presently involved in many service areas, including: Reading is Fundamental (RIF) in 12
elementary schools Annual Rosemead Relay for Life Rosemead Health Fairs

Club bylaws define our club structure and operation.
Our club membership votes on:• Election of club officers • Amendments to club bylaws

The Board of Directors
Determines club policies Approves club projects – including
Action Plans of Committees Sets and approves the club and foundation budgets

Club Dues and Fees
RKC individual club membership is offered in two formats:
• $101 for initial basic membership without meals
• $184 for initial basic membership with 8 meals for first quarter
Subsequent quarters will be lower

Club Dues and Fees
There is also a $500 Corporate annual member-ship. It includes
• 8 meals per quarter.
• Allows for participation by a designated but changeable primary member.
• Allows for designation of additional alternate members
