Start by finding the MeSH (Medical Subject Heading)

for your topic

Note the web address includes msvulibThis means PubMed will link back to the

Mount Library journal collection

Once in PubMed 1.Click Advanced

2. Select “Add” from History to

combine terms in the Builder

Update your filters to show: Species, Sex and Ages

Note the number of resultsbefore adding age filters

Click on a filter to add it to the search

PMC is PubMed Central which make biomedical articles freely available

Click on the Get it @ MSVU

From the Mount Librarysite follow the full text

link to the article

Login using the barcode on your ID card & the last

4 digits of your phone number as

your password

If there is no full text link, Request the item

via Document Delivery

You will need to check the box

saying this is for research.

Then the Submit button will

become active.

The Document Delivery request

form should autocomplete based on the information

from PubMedArticle and other copies, such

as book chapters and conference papers, will be

emailed to you. Loans of books can be picked up at the Mount

Library. You will be sent an email when they arrive.
