China Rail Lines
Getting Around…• China now has 1.33 million km of highway (about 200,000 km more than Canada!!)
• for long journeys, “sleeper bus” cheaper option than plane or train (and you’re guaranteed a bed!)
• Guangzhou to Shanghai is 20 hours by train!! • Guangzhou to Shanghai is 24 hours by bus!!
Getting Around…• ‘sleeper buses’ are commonly used to travel between remote cities and villages where there are no existent train lines
• notoriously crowded, uncomfortable, and can be dangerous
• present the adventurous traveler with a highly cost effective alternative to flying.

consider (what precautions should be taken)??
