Get Involved at Duke Law!

1L BLUEPRINT FOR SUCCESSThis networking event is an efficient and productive way for employers to meet the 1L class as they start to prepare for the upcoming 2L job search. More than 80 organizations, and 200+ lawyers and recruiting professionals participate in this high energy & interactive evening each year. Blueprint for Success offers a unique opportunity to establish meaningful connections between employers and students in advance of the busy fall recruiting season. The 2020 event will be held the evening of March 17, 2020 at the Durham Convention Center. Registration will open in November 2019. Sponsorship opportunities are available.

PRACTICE INTERVIEW PROGRAMSWe invite employers to visit the law school each February to conduct practice interviews for 1L students. In addition, every summer we match rising 2L students with practicing attorneys in their city who are willing to assist students in honing their interview skills. Summer practice interviews take place in employer offices in June across the U.S. and abroad. These programs provide employers with the opportunity to have meaningful contact with students in advance of 2L recruitment.

ESQ CAREER SYMPOSIUMThe Business Law Society, in conjunction with the Career & Professional Development Center and the Alumni & Development Office, hosts the ESQ Career Symposium annually. Employers from law firms, businesses and government agencies across the country discuss their careers and network with students in Durham January 31 - February 1, 2020.
