Get In Sync with Your Favorite Meditation AppPracticing meditation can help lower stress levels, reduce symptoms of depression or anxiety, and increase focus. You can even earn 10 Vitality Points™ for 10 minutes of meditation with a supported app. Here’s how to sync your app with Vitality.

If you haven’t already, download the Vitality Today™ app from the App Store® or Google Play™.

Next, download a supported meditation app, such as:

Connect your meditation app to the Apple Health app (iPhone users) or Google Fit (Android users.) Make sure your Apple Health or Google Fit is linked to the Vitality Today app.

How do I connect Headspace to the Google Fit app?

1. Follow the prompts to link your Google account to the Google Fit app.

2. Download and install Headspace from Google Play.

3. Open Headspace, navigate to the Settings menu and tap Google Fit.

4. Toggle the Connect Google Fit switch to the on position so the Google Fit app can start tracking your Headspace meditation sessions.

5. On the Vitality Today app, go to More > Health app > Meditation > Connected Apps to check that Headspace is listed. If it is, the Google Fit app is ready to track your Headspace meditation sessions.

How do I connect Headspace to the Apple Health app?

1. Download and install Headspace from the App Store. If you already have the Headspace app, delete it, restart your iPhone and reinstall the app.

2. Once logged in, listen/re-listen to Basics Session 1 (this specific session is required).

3. After completing Basics 1, you get the toggle card (see the image below) allowing you to sync with the Health app. Toggle the switch to the on position to allow access to your Mindful Minutes.

4. On the Vitality Today app, go to More > Health app > Meditation > Connected Apps to check that Headspace is listed. If it is, the Health app is ready to track your Headspace meditation sessions.

How do I connect Calm to the Google Fit app?

1. Download and install Calm from Google Play.

2. Tap the More button in the bottom right corner of the Calm app.

3. Tap Settings.

4. Find Save to Google Fit and toggle the switch to the on position. Confirm that you’d like to save sessions to Google Fit.

5. On the Vitality Today app, go to More > Health app > Meditation > Connected Apps to check that Calm is listed. If it is, the Google Fit app is ready to track your Calm meditation sessions.

How do I connect Calm to the Apple Health app?

1. Download and install Calm from the App Store.

2. Tap More in the bottom right corner of the Calm app.

3. Tap Settings.

4. Tap Apple Health.

5. Enable Mindful Minutes for Calm within Sources in the Health App.

6. On the Vitality Today app, go to More > Health app > Meditation > Connected Apps to check that Calm is listed. If it is, the Health app is ready to track your Calm meditation sessions.

Use the Breathe App with Apple WatchTo start a session:

1. Press the Digital Crown® to go to the home screen, then open the Breathe app.

2. Turn the Digital Crown to set the session’s length.

3. Tap Start when you’re ready. Remember to stay still while you breathe.

After completing your first Breathe session, enable mindfulness minutes for Apple Watch in the Health app.

1. Open Health app and tap Mindfulness on the home screen.

2. Click the bar for the last session of mindfulness minutes you completed.

3. Click Data Sources and Access, scroll to the Apps Allowed to Read Data section and move the toggle to the on position for Vitality Today. Confirm your Apple Watch is also listed under the Data Sources. 3.

What if the meditation app I use isn’t on the list of supported apps?You can’t earn points for meditation sessions on an unsupported app.

Can I keep tracking my meditation sessions after earning the maximum amount of points for meditation?Yes, but you can’t earn more points for your meditation sessions.

Do I need to pay the premium membership fee for the Calm app?No. You can use the basic Calm offerings to earn points. The premium membership offers a seven-day free trial. If you don’t wish to start a premium trial, click the x in the top right corner of the screen to exit.

You only earn points for meditation if your supported app is linked to Apple Health

app or Google Fit.

You can earn up to 200 points for meditation per year. You can keep tracking your meditation minutes on the Vitality Today

app even after earning the maximum points for this activity.

You can earn 10 points each day from

one or a combination of the supported meditation apps.

For Apple Breathe, the longest session is five minutes. You need to

complete more than one session a day to have at least 10 minutes total.
