What exactly is a Legwork Travel Tour like?

This is a question that is very often received. All Legwork Tours are active with a good deal of walking involved. While public transit is used for getting across town, going by foot is often the primary mode of travel. As you read through the itinerary included in this booklet, take note of the symbols accom-panying each day. They will help you gauge how strenuous and how demanding each activity can be. Some days can be rather light with museums and closely located activities, while other days may include hiking to see an out of the way castle.

Let’s Stretch Those Legs, Shall We?To really dig deep into Europe, you need a good pair of walking shoes.

* Comfortably being on your feet for up to four hours walking and standing, both inside museums and outdoors in all weather conditions such as hot sun and rain. * Sleeping with no (or weak) air conditioning and street

noise in some hotels. You may also share a bethroom with other tour guests.

* After orientation and transportation lessons, being able to navigate towns and cities on your own.

* Carrying or rolling your own luggage over uneven pavement from trains and other vehicles to your hotel (possibly several blocks) and hauling it up several flights of stairs to reach your room.
